Although not the heavy iron ore or limestone train the Missabe Sub is known for, this unit potash train still made for a nice scene as they hustle north through Sax behind an SD70M-2. With clouds and rain lingering around all day, a break in the clouds finally added some nice evening light to compliment an afternoon northbound parade.

Night photo of an abandoned shack along historic Route 66 in the Mojave Desert in California. The structure is on the property of a house that was destroyed in a fire a week earlier, the same day that the Goffs General Store was also burned, both under suspicious circumstances. I had special permission to photograph this property. Illuminated by a full moon and warm white and red light from a handheld ProtoMachines LED2. Thanks.

First warm days in the garden. Taken with X-T1 and a vintage macro- lens (Panagor 55mm f/3 Super Macro 1:1)
We had ourselves a (sort of festive?) downtown walk/shoot yesterday!
This is one of those shots where we’d already had some pretty awesome results on the Polaroid during the shoot and were a little torn about whether to take another or not… we ultimately decided to and it ended up being this picture so clearly we made the right choice!
PS, can you tell we're excited about the weather warming up, making it possible to actually have shoots OUTSIDE?

I created this quilt for an upcoming bridal shower! I used a Jelly Roll of the Verna fabric line by Kate Spain, Kona cotton in Snow and a pattern called Strip Stacks by GE Quilt Designs.
The quilt was a lot of fun to make and pretty easy. I added the white outside border (not originally in the pattern), used a wide blue binding, and pieced the back. I quilted it with a meandering free motion pattern.
The quilt measures about 55 by 75 inches. I hope the happy couple enjoys it!
