Golden springtime rays captured at 7:36am after I noticed some fog laying low on the land, also took the drone up which I have not done in a while, that photo coming later.

When the rains come to the southern Serengeti early in the year and the grasses green up it becomes a time of plenty, with large mixed herds and their predators feasting and getting fat. In this image a hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus) keeps company with a mixed herd of zebras (Equus quagga) and wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus).

Welcome to my enchanting springtime backyard view! The Chugach Mountains stand majestically, their peaks cloaked in a fresh layer of snow that captures the eye. As I set out on my morning walk, the peaceful beauty of the snow gracefully falling from the trees provided a stunning backdrop to the 42-degree air. The clouds are thickening, hinting at even more snowfall on the horizon. While spring's arrival still feels uncertain, a glance out my window offers hope: a pair of tree swallows perched on the power line, perhaps pondering their early arrival in Alaska. But fear not, little birds; spring is not just a hope, it's a certainty, and I believe it will bring joy and renewal very soon!
Finally starting to feel like spring again until this morning. Snow on the ground again and back to white. I was enjoying my walk last night and the late night sun on these pine needles made for a really cool looking bokeh.
