Taken last week on a lunchtime stroll … many of the trees are now starting to lose their blossoms. Have a lovely weekend!
Maysie-May and Molly….Will you come on down from them hay bales ……while I take a photo of that springtime beautiful field behind you….What that you say, not until I remember what Monday 27th May is……Well let me think….Ummmmm……Oh my gosh…..I know what it is, It’s your birthdays…..But you know what….I had not forgotten…..We have a special treat for you both with a trip to see Joey and his new family.….And one other thing……Stay where you are….I beginning to think that you two look great in this picture after all….
With Spring colors making themselves known, NYS&W SU-99 climbs westbound out of Hackensack past the old eastbound and Malt Products siding in Maywood, NJ.
One sunset, 4 focal lengths. The extremes are, apparently most interesting as entirely different pictures: while wideangle is often a landscape 'default', the closer look explains why telephoto is just as essential for landscape photography.
Our Daily Challenge ... time.
I don't wear a watch very often now and when I got this out I discovered it's also time for a new battery.

The Cheekwood Estate outside of Nashville, Tennessee is a 55-acre estate and botanical garden built by the Maxwell House Coffee fortune, and one of the finest examples of an American Country Place Era Estate in the United States. In springtime, the green of the trees and the riot of colors from the flowers in bloom (especially their tulips) are truly a site to behold. Get there on a blue-sky day, and it's extra special to be sure.
I like springtime because everything is in bloom.

Thank You.

XP2015 hauling a 6 car ST23 races through the rolling canola fields of Illabo, Southern NSW.
The field on the opposite side had only recently been harvested, so I had missed out on getting more canola in the photo. Till next spring!

It's been a cool but gloriously sunny weekend here and Spring is right around the corner. It looked so lovely to be outdoors and yet you couldn't help yourself from wondering, 'but should we even be going outdoors right now?...Should any of us?... Anywhere? I feel fine but what if I'm unwittingly carrying the virus or just haven't shown symptoms yet? I don't want to make someone else sick just because I chose to go out. And what if they carry it to their aging parents or grandparents or to the person fighting lung cancer or.....The possibilities are so many?' And that seems to be where we're at. Uncertainty hovering over each and every one of us. Increasing it seems, with each passing day.....hour-by-hour almost.
If there's any light to be found amid all of this, then I can only hope it is a global mindshift within each of us about just who we are, our individual place and purpose in this world and how we treat those around us, because surely the direction things have been headed lately needs a drastic change of course. And so, this is my ode to the Springtime Blues of 2020. May we be mindful of how our own actions might impact others - not just their health but their livelihood too - not to mention the additional stress we could be putting on an already-strained healthcare system. Please stay strong and healthy, think about whether you are helping the problem or carelessly adding to it, and be there for one another. Sod the stupid toilet paper!
