Off to Venice in Morning so guess what I will be showing you soon!!
Springtime is trying to take over and winter is stubbornly slipping away. Before we know it, it's going to be 90 degrees and 90% humidity outside! I'm trying to enjoy these 60 degree days while I can!

My review of this lens is now up here!
Wisteria abounds in Umbria (Italy) in April. This fabulous display was covering the side of an historic villa in the lovely hill town of Trevi.
It's great to see these mantid hunters return in spring. Best details on enlarging.

East Penn GP38-2 2173 was arriving in Chadds Ford with its train from Oxford amongst some springtime Foliage.
The GP38-2 was built for the Belt Railway of Chicago and is leased from GMTX..
Here's a tiny Harvest Mouse playing peek-a-boo in the Blackthorn blossom. You can see his little tail wrapped around the twig behind. My only view of a wild Harvest Mouse was in a wetland in Kent in the mid 1980s. It had climbed up a Bulrush (Typha) stem and was nibbling the seeds, again with his tail wrapped around the stem. This one alas was captive bred.
Don't know about Y'all, but I'm dreamin' deeply 'bout spending

Happy Bench Monday to all My Friends!

I *love* springtime in Northern California. The rains transform the hills into a rolling emerald landscape. It's gorgeous! It's a little early in the season for this much green, but the rain started early this year so I'm looking forward to an extended 'green season' this spring.

Steenbok ram enjoying the new growth. The Steenbok is a small “dwarf” antelope, with an average weight of around 12kgs and a shoulder height of a mere 45 – 60cms. They are a beautiful golden brown color, and have very distinctive, overly-large ears which look completely out of proportion to their petite heads. Only the males have horns, which are smooth, straight and very sharp.
the spring is here. "my" tree that I shot 2 years ago, uploaded in this site, is still there. Strong, alone and beautiful. Is the life stronger in Nature than in Human?
Springtime in the gardens of Anglesey Abbey in Lode, Cambridgeshire. A lot of the spring flowers had gone over but the tree blossom was wonderful.

Recently visited Oldmoor Wood, Nottinghamshire. Oldmoor Wood is a woodland in Nottinghamshire, near the village of Strelley. It covers a total area of 15.11 hectares. It is owned and managed by The Woodland Trust.
I went primarily for the beautiful Bluebells. There is a mix of Native and Spanish Bluebells.
Native Bluebells are protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
How to tell the difference.
English Bluebells: Flowers on one side of the stem.
Spanish Bluebells: Flowers all around the stem.
