The Indiana Northeastern brought a train out of Montpelier on this nice early May afternoon with both of their big six axle units for power. They cut off part of the train east of town (to avoid blocking crossings) and worked the elevator in Edon for a little while affording a number of photographic opportunities but this drone shot turned out to be one of my favorites. It was well worth the trip West this afternoon! Edon, OH 5/4/2020

Photo taken on the first cycling trip of the year along the canal.
I set a little project for myself earlier in the week. I went out two days in a row with my Sony A7ii camera with a vintage Tair 11-a lens mounted on it and shot all the new (and some old) growth that I saw springing up all around me. All pictures taken within a mile or two of my home. It's quite nice to set one's self a small challenge like this which is achievable and where the subject matter is abundant.

It's like Wow, all at once within one week Springtime exploded. It's been hard to keep up and be in five places at once to see all that has gone on. It sure is pretty though and i am definitely in my element...camera in hand. As you can see here baby leaves are exploding in the forest where as less than a week ago there were no leaves at all.
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
