Springtime in Palouse brings a crisp freshness everywhere.

Flowering tree hangs over a canal reflecting its color at Keukenhof Garden.

With a lengthy sand train in tow, this eastbound Union Pacific train approaches the west end of Rock siding near Sugar Island on UP's Adams Subdivision. The springtime melt has taken place, causing the Rock River to reach well over it's banks again and afford a decent reflection from the surface of it's muddy waters. My scanner batteries went dead waiting, so I was unable to hear the train ID.

Nothing says 'springtime' like tulips.

These are from last year since our tulips here are just beginning to emerge from the ground.

It's cold, rainy, snowy, and just plain nasty here right now :( But the calendar says spring has arrived, so we're going to pretend it's warm and colorful...

A little pastel magic in the editing produced this result.
