There's a little bit of springtime in the back of my mind.
Not quite a memory, not quite a dream.
Just a shimmer of how things might have been.
The air there is soft with forgetting and the days fold gently like pages left unread.
I go there sometimes
where the blossoms never fell
where time holds its breath and the sky is always just beginning to blush.
And in that springtime I'll try to be alive
as if it was the only time that ever was
or ever will be.
It's like Wow, all at once within one week Springtime exploded. It's been hard to keep up and be in five places at once to see all that has gone on. It sure is pretty though and i am definitely in my element...camera in hand. As you can see here baby leaves are exploding in the forest where as less than a week ago there were no leaves at all.
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and exceptional day dear Flickr friends !

This shows the plant 'Red valerian' which grows extensively here in hedgerows and on walls. I took this shot not exclusively because of the lovely Red valerian but because of the mottled clouds above it. The plant was on the top of a wall which made taking the shot so much easier.
Today is a public holiday here - 'Ascension Day'. Have a great week ahead!

Grand view in the Daguan Park ("Grand View Park") in the Spring City Kunming exactly eleven years ago
In Kunming, the capital of the Chinese province Yunnan, spring really begins with the Spring Festival, the Chinese New Year, at the end of January.
This year this holiday is overshadowed by coronavirus cases with rising death tolls and the Chinese authorities' drastic measures. My wife has gone to Kunming last December in order to assist our daughter, who has given birth to her second child. She told me on the telephone that they don't leave the house at the moment. How unpleasant with bright sunshine and temperatures up to 18°C outside! We still don't know, when it will be possible to her to come back to Vienna.
