Well, this image is actually not from Portland. This is not the famous Cherry Trees from the waterfront in Downtown. I can't go there right now because of the Cornoa Virus. So this is from an outskirt to Portland. This is me continuing to try to find beauty in the details, when I can. Landscapes with a zoom lens. It also is partially driven by the fact that my go-to wide angle zoom, the Tamron 15-30 F2.8 is in the shop. In fact, I just found out that the repair shop in NJ is closed because of COVID. Now I have no idea when my baby will be back to me. :(. I will need to suffer through it and get creative. Or use my wife's Nikon, but that feels like I am holding an alien. Fine camera, just foreign.

Mural painted in collaboration with Pau QuintanaJornet in Amsterdam, part of the Streeart Museum Amsterdam Inspired by the Norse mythology, we painted a representation of Freya goddess associated with love, sexuality, beauty, fertility, gold, war, death and a human representation of Yggdrasil, holy tree that his branches are extended far into the heavens, and the tree is supported by roots that extend far away into other levels; one to the well Uroarbrunnr in the heavens, one to the spring Hvergelmir, and another to the well Mimisbrunnr This wall is also part of Pau´s longterm art project called Wallflowers (www.Projectwallflowers.com) which had his kick off in Amsterdam Nieuw West

Nature Park Schwalm-Nette, Germany.

Strange weather we've been having over the weekend. Sunny with 50mph gusts of wind! The weather hasn't been kind to the trees with branches everywhere!

Yellow spring

April gallant was coming, everything full of yellow flowers ... yellow the stream, yellow the path, the hill, the children's cemetery, the orchard where love lived! The sun anointed the world with yellow with its fallen lights; Oh for the golden liros, clear, warm water! The yellow butterflies about yellow roses! Yellow garlands were climbing the trees: the day it was a grace scented with gold in a golden awakening of life ... Among the bones of the dead, God opened his yellow hands. JUAN RAMÓN JIMÉNEZ (Spanish poet)

Primavera amarilla

Abril galán venía, todo

lleno de flores amarillas...

amarillo el arroyo,

amarilla la senda, la colina,

el cementerio de los niños,

el huerto aquel donde el amor vivía!

El sol ungía el mundo de amarillo

con sus luces caídas;

¡oh por los liros áureos,

el agua clara, tibia!,

¡las amarillas mariposas

sobre las rosas amarillas!

Guirnaldas amarillas escalaban

los árboles: el día

era una gracia perfumada de oro

en un dorado despertar de vida...

Entre los huesos de los muertos,

abría Dios sus manos amarillas.

The other side of Snelli pond

Spring has apparently decided to hold back the reigns for a while in the Foothills. We've been graced with two days and nights of nonstop snow. Meanwhile, Marg's little garden projects are on temporary hold, awaiting whatever little embellishments she decides to apply. I suspect there will be some flowers in those pots. In fact, I'd bet on it.

From the archives...

not sure exactly what type of tree this was in bloom up at Warminster Community Park, but the pale pink flowers certainly looked lovely against the blue sky.

Many Thanks to the +14,900,000 visitors of my photographic stream
