Spring has arrived in California, seemingly a little early. Buds are bursting everywhere. The colors are back!!
A spring morning, a valley filled with fog. Photography without special effect, the top of a hill seems to be an island in the clouds!

Un matin de printemps, une vallée remplie de brouillard. Photographie sans trucage, le sommet d'une colline semble être une île dans les nuages!

The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.

Shot with the Olympus E-M1, Mark II in New Haven, Connecticut. My mother died ten years ago on this day. This is a tribute to her memory.

While I patiently wait for the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths to bloom, I enjoy seeing the sun light up the bare branches of the Red Twig Dogwood. Happy Fence Friday.
Happy May Day to everyone. . .no one celebrates May 1 anymore like we did as children -- May baskets, singing, dancing around the May pole, a May Queen at school. . . back in the day. . .
Although this image was taken in late spring last year, the bunny still lives in our garden. It may not be the same bunny that shows up every morning this week and leaves us little “gifts” in the garden. I wish it was chocolate! I know it is said that it is better to give than to receive. So today I left some fresh Kale stalks and a few leaves for the rabbit. I do enjoy seeing him/ her run free in the yard. The bokeh in this image somewhat resembles golden eggs spilling down. Happy Easter weekend!
