My kiddo is two sides of a coin....
He is all rainbows and giggles
but there are STORM CLOUDS around every rainbow
These two gorgeous looking dwellings were right around the corner from Max's house (Australian Leg Home Base) and en route an awesome cafe that brewed up some mean Earl Grey. I can't remember the name of the cafe, but the tea was fantastic...

This week's theme for Macro Mondays is "Dualism." Every monster has it's good side...Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. aspires to be a stand-up comedian when he isn't doing his best to scare children.
Scary and funny...quite a combination.

A peek into the domain of a one of a kind unique VW Beetle - Half original 1971 love bug and half beautifully restored, all in one nifty package. She's guarding my Ghia convertible and my '74 Thing.

Close-up on the engine in a very unique VW Beetle - Half original 1971 love bug and half beautifully restored, all in one nifty package. I've now got this engine purring like a kitten (check out the vids in the link above). This beetle was originally used as a showroom car to display the automotive products of Minnesota based 3M.
On a recent trip for work I had much time to myself in order to watch TV and keep myself company. Yes, it was boredom. ;o)

Yesterdays photowalk found round.
Round shapes, curved shadows, circular clouds, the moon and eyes. Lots of round eyes stared into my camera yesterday.
Welcome to the ‘Eye See You’ series
i absolutely hate going to sleep. that's why i am up at 1:30am on a wed night posting this picture. but once i'm sleeping, i just don't get up.
i'm almost ashamed to say it, but i have slept until 3pm in the afternoon before. and no, it's not cause of the obvious: well if you're up late, you'll sleep in late. true, but the day i slept til 3pm, i went to bed around midnight, and was sound asleep for a good 15 hours.
that's 15 hours of my life i will never get back.
Finding some of my illustration on the internet, some done many years ago, some I had forgotten I had even done. Some rehashed art morphing into something else for an "illustration in about 20 minutes".
This is the cake that I made for Michael and his mom. We celebrated both of their birthdays today. M will be 39 on Wednesday so mom thought I should reuse the decorations from dad's cake. I added oreo crumbs and gummy worms to complete the look. The other side is for my MIL who will celebrate her birthday on Friday.
I used the Pilsbury reduced sugar cake and icing. I wasn't terribly impressed. The cake seemed dry. I left the oil out but I always omit the oil from boxed cakes. It really drew up when I cooked it too. The finished product was at least 1/8" from the sides of the pan. The icing had a faux sugary taste. With all that said, people claimed to like it.

This one of a kind unique VW Beetle belongs in the circus. Half original 1971 love bug and half beautifully restored, all in one nifty package. She sure is a head turner...
Take a look down on a one of a kind unique VW Beetle - Half original 1971 love bug and half beautifully restored, all in one nifty package. This was a showroom car to promote the automotive products of Minnesota based 3M - looks like their products only worked on half the car. ;)
