Remains of the ~140 ft schooner CHINA, which wrecked near Tobermory, Ontario, Canada in November 1883. She was enroute from Buffalo to Parry Sound when she became disabled by a snowstorm and driven ashore on what is now called "China Reef"
There they are. All four of them. Decals were made by Izzymartin127, weapons and helmets by BrickArms, and painting done by me.
Inspirations tagged:
=CaptainMatt=: I saw your Wermacht in splinter camo, compared them to my old crappy ones, and based my newer, better ones off yours.
Brickly Blitzkrieg Customs: You make great figures and I thought I would have to try to make one at your standards.
MR. Jens: I loved your work from the beginning. 'Nuff said.
Feel free to tag yourself if there is room left.

Nothing complex, just liked the little bit of colour really.

i took rubbish fotos today but jai saved the day by getting a great big splinter in her foot - i like nothing more than playing doctor and operating on a patient (and maybe taking advantage of a foto opportunity). so my patient patiently waited for me to record this momentous moment before she bravely allowed me to remove the splinter - it was a beast i'm sure you'll agree.
here comes the chilly winter,
fast as a sturdy sprinter,
the trees stand tall,
at the end of fall,
and leaves tossed as orphan splinters.

The United States has a military presence in two-thirds of countries around the world, and some of them have had enough. A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests.
Though it doesn't look like much, this thorn tip was embedded in my right thumb pad for half a year. I coundn't see it, and I couldn't get it out. Finally I decided to spend a couple of hours in the bath and dig around with a needle and some lignocaine.
First I found two tiny fragments well up bathed in seurum and a blob of white blood cells, but something told me there was something bigger ... deeper. Eventually squeezing, working the area, I saw a shadow beneath the pressure whitened cells. It was my reluctant quarry, I persisted until it was finally free. Within a couple of weeks the thickened skin reabsorbed, and I had full function and sensation back. Two hands! two thumbs!
Perhaps I should of gone to a GP to get an ultrasound earlier, but I'm just glad its over, it too easy to shy away from the things we must.
Regular prescribed burning is healthy for the bog. Without occasional fires to suppress the tree and shrub
layers, the ground will become shaded, and the sun-loving
herbaceous plants will decline and eventually die.
