Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Namibia.
Deadveli means "dead marsh." The trees here are believed to be about 900 years old, but have not decomposed because the environment is so dry.

This is a detail of where a screw went through the head ring too high and splintered the stave. You can see beside it, I got the next one correct, and there's almost no splintering

I come for the campaign but stay for the co-op. DoctorSparkles and I at Ohayocon 07 showing off our love of Splinter Cell. He's the one with red light bulbs. Ironic, huh?
One of the reasons I love photography is because it allows you to make something beautiful out of nothing .... just a piece of useless wood, but I love this picture!

You can see the group starting to splinter as the climb mellows out and those with the leg strength look to improve their position.
2017 saw the return of the classic Salt Lake City circuit with the short but brutal climb up State Street each lap to get to the Start/Finish line.
