This oyster catcher was happy sitting on the rock till this frothy white splash of wave spray caught him!
The bright yellow blooms of forsythia in the early spring appear like sunshine in the garden. I am uploading a series of these close-up photos that I experienced with my different lenses to demonstrate their unique effect. Hope you like them :)
This one was taken with Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II + 12 mm Kenko extension tube

Dans cet exercice, c' est sur une vitre que s' écrase la goutte....
Merci à tous pour vos visites et encouragements, je revisite mes albums de gouttes car entre le vent et la chaleur, pas de balade/photo . Bonne soirée à tous
A beautiful light-colored Alaskan Brown Bear kicks up quite a splash as it strides across the Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska.
I decided to use my Muskox post yesterday to kick off a three-shot series of Alaskan wildlife. Here's number two.
I hope you are all keeping well and are staying safe. I decided I'd do some photography in the house this afternoon. This sorta thing is more Mrs CIT's bag as she dabbles in food photography as a wet weather alternative from wildlife... but the one thing neither of us own is a flash which I prob could have done with for splash work.
Anyway I tried a few set ups... This one features Botanist Gin from Islay which is a fave tipple of mine.
Striated(?) Thornbills have a good splash in the bird bath this afternoon.
Day 13 of Pentax Forum's Daily in March 2018 Challenge
(Theme: Splash)
I have an exciting day today, lots of transect walking for High Brown Fritillary, then at night we're having a glow worm curry event outside up on the common, which should be great fun. Splashing down is by Garnett Silk. this was a late night backwash at Ogmore by sea.
Wide angle long exposure seascape taken at first light on the coastline of Candelaria, Tenerife.

This humpback kept slapping its tail on the water over and over again! The whale expert on the boat said the whale probably was doing that to stun the fish! Some whales have learned this behavior! It was amazing how loud the noise was when the tail hit the water!
Karoo thrush - A typical mostly olive-brown thrush, with rufous coloration restricted to the center of the belly. It is most easily identified by range. Pairs occupy dense scrub and thickets in arid savanna and Karoo, grassland, and urban gardens on the South African highveld. The species gives a varied song and typical thrush “chk-chk” or thin “tseeep” calls. It is an understory specialist that sometimes skulks, but at other times can be quite bold. The similar Olive Thrush differs from Karoo Thrush in its rufous (not olive) flanks, its brown (not yellow-orange) eye-ring, its dark brown (not yellow) base to the upper mandible of the bill, and its streakier throat.
A Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) stands on the rocks at the Jupiter Inlet as ocean waves splash all around. Captured this past weekend with my new 500mm lens. I feel so excited to have made this long-overdue, big-girl addition to my photography toolbox! Can't wait to capture more with her! :)
