I've been bemoaning the fact that I am not able to shoot him. however I'm very happy with this portrait, it seems appropriate.
So much talent and powers of discrimination - but your own issues are killers. or they can be. I have so much respect for him as an artist. this is like Picasso on trial. I'm saying I feel that he did shoot Lana Clarkson. but it's so grotesque a situation. so awful. today he waived the option to testify. yes is the only thing he said, really quietly... he got lively at one point when a witness said he'd encouraged her in music, he - you could tell he was - oh like I worked with the best EVER - like he was just being nice to her, but what DO you do then? what a life.
sorry this picture looks really gross here, at this resampling, it just doesn't work.
After disbanding Philles Records, Phil Spector often worked with the Beatles and former members of the Beatles. Here he co-produced "Bangla-desh" with George Harrison. The "Concert for Bangla-desh" at Madison Square Garden raised a lot of money, but apparently none of it ever made it to the needy refugees in Bangladesh.

I had the lucky pleasure to be Eddie Money's photographer for his musical "Two Tickets To Paradise" @ the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center. What an experience.
Also performing Ronnie Spector (what a beautiful spirit)

This portrait of Lucy Spector is the first of a series of four photos taken during Melody's and my last visit to her Hillsborough home in October 2015 - three days before her 91st birthday. She passed a year and one half after this candid portrait. Mrs. Spector co-founded Britex Fabrics. The store and its sign were icons in San Francisco's Union Square, remaining long after she handed the business down to her heirs. My sweetheart Melody worked at Britex for 35 years, until her retirement in January 2015, nearly a year after we married. Lucy was a shrewd business woman in the day of tough business men. She provided steady employment for more than 40 people in her heyday. All the Old Timers were very loyal to her and she treated them with dignity and respect. Lucy understood and liked my humor. I called her Lucy. However, Melody and most of her coworkers only addressed her as Mrs. Spector or Missus. I shot this using my Canon Powershot SX50 and lovingly present it here in our Wambeke and Wambeke photostream.

Spector Group converted a warehouse to Class ‘A’ office space that became the firm’s new Long Island location in November 2007. “We re-created for ourselves what we’ve done for our clients for 42 years, “says Principal Marc Spector, “and that was taking an old industrial building and converting it to dynamic office space. It was an environmentally sound move which made economic sense as well.”

HBO Films has released its first trailer promoting the upcoming Al Pacino-starring biopic on imprisoned record producer Phil Spector.
In the clip, Pacino's Spector is shown in full flight, firing rounds into the ceiling of a studio, ranting in court and taking abuse from supporters of Lana Clarkson, who he was convicted of murdering in 2003. And throughout, Pacino parades a range of extraordinary Spector hairstyles.
Oscar-nominee David Mamet wrote and directed "Phil Spector," while Barry Levinson serves as executive producer. Pacino plays opposite Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren, who portrays Spector's attorney Linda Kenney Baden.
Spector’s self-proclaimed "wall of sound" recording technique transformed 1960s pop music, and placed the music man in the mix of many hits with the likes of the Beatles, the Ronettes and the Ramones. A reclusive character, Spector’s strange behavior is also well documented by some of those artists who’ve worked with him.
On a retrial, Spector was convicted in 2009 of the second-degree murder of Clarkson, a B-movie actress. He's now serving 19 years to life for murder in a California jail. Spector, now 73, won't be eligible for parole until he reaches 88.
"Phil Spector" will premiere in the U.S. on Sunday, March 24 at 9 pm. International release dates have yet to be confirmed.
Phil Spector's wife, Rachelle, told reporters Friday her husband's conviction and prison sentence was a miscarriage of justice.

I always watched batman and robin when I was a kid and always thought how cool they were just like anyone else and when I was older I tried to pull some stupid heroics. I put on a hoodie and a mask i made and grabbed some pipe I found and patrolled my neighborhood, the first couple nights there was nothing but on the third I heard a man crying out for help. I went to the sound and found a joker thug beating him. "Stop right there asswipe what did that man do to you" "who the hell are you to order me around kid" he knocked the man out and came towards me I landed a couple good hits with the pipe but he was much stronger he ripped the pipe out of my hands and pulled out I knife.
This is actually a doubled photograph of a halloween party, I was offered to photograph for. It was a blast from beginning to end. Lots of decorations, and fun people to photograph. I walked into it not sure what to expect, the person said just have at it whatever i wanted to photograph would be good with them. The only request was to make sure I git as many people as possible as this was probably gonna be their last family get together.
Frederic Schwartz and Spector Group created a predominantly open workplace, daylight for all and abundant opportunities for informal meetings. A streetlike grid of custom workstations occupies much of the first floor with seismic bracing providing another ordering component. Private offices-with glass-grid fronts, sliding doors and rear windows for transparency-adjoin circulation routes allowing another layer of workstations to enjoy window adjacency. Semiprivate conference and war rooms appear throughout the first floor. Other locations planned for spontaneous interaction are lounge areas signaled by curved acrylic screens, placed among workstations, and two new connecting staircases, 8 feet wide. The second floor houses a trio of unique translucent acrylic enclosures jutting out over the floor below. The "Think Pods" are a response to Deutsch's operational methods and culture.
