The jury in the murder case against him announced that they were unable to reach a verdict. Without indicating which way the jury is leaning, the jury foreman told the court the panel was split 7-5.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler sent the

jury home for the day, instructing them to return at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Fidler then told attorneys he was considering giving the jury the option of convicting Spector of involuntary manslaughter -- a reduced charge from the second-degree

murder count the panel is currently weighing.

Today I went to see (and photograph) 'GhostCop' at the Free Sisters.

It's essentially the new show from the group who created last year's 'Vampire Hospital Waiting Room' which was spectacularly funny. 'GhostCop' is writen by Craig Methven who plays Edinburgh polis, Jack Spector. Move over Rebus! ;-)

You can see my 'Vampire Hospital Waiting Room' pics here.

Vampire Hospital Waiting Room

However, the space 'GhostCop' was performed in had rather limited lighting in terms of photography. Craig mentioned before the show that they had some spooky vaults booked...and wondered if I might be available to take pics after the show. Well, one hardly turns down a polite request from Edinburgh's toughest cop, does one? :-)

You can find out more about the show here...and did I mention, it's free? :-)

This was taken with off-camera flash, with a mini-softbox attached...fired using a wireless remote trigger...and held by one of the 'GhostCop' performers. :-)

See how the media work together? All those mics on one stand.

The deadlocked jury in Phil Spector's second-degree

murder trial will not be given the option of convicting the music producer of the lesser charge of manslaughter, the judge presiding over the case ruled today.

The jury foreman said the nine-man, three-woman panel was split 7-5, without indicating which way the panel was leaning on the second-degree murder charge against Spector.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler said yesterday he was considering giving the jury the option of considering the lesser offense of manslaughter against Spector, but after hearing arguments from attorneys today, he decided against it Spector, 67, is accused of shooting 40-year-old Lana Clarkson through the mouth around 5 a.m. Feb. 3, 2003, in the foyer of his Alhambra mansion.

Spector ( Eagle Against the Sun ) maintains that the months following the Tet offensive (January and February 1968) illuminated the true nature of the war in Vietnam and largely determined its course during the five years that followed. In '68 both sides launched their most powerful efforts to break the military and political stalemate, and the U.S., furthermore, began to recognize potentially disastrous problems of racial tension and drug abuse among its troops. Spector analyzes the ultimately futile tactics of U.S. military operations, the "other war" effort to win hearts and minds, and the race riots at the Long Binh stockade and Danang brig, among other developments of that fateful year. He is perhaps the first major historian to scrutinize the Combined Action Program, in which Marine squads lived for indefinite periods in villages, providing aid and protection. The Army high command in Saigon regarded the program as well-meaning but misguided; according to Spector, however, it was the most effective, imaginative and humane approach the Americans devised. By concentrating on its most representative year, Spector has produced a first-rate history of the war.

With some band members of Mink DeVille and early Tom Petty. Sounds a bit like Joan Jett. But not so hard. Fave song : Happy Birthday Rock'n'Roll - In the song a part which reminds you of - Be My Baby - for a few bars! Nice arrangement!

Mrs Spector's first name is Lucy, but I have never heard Melody call her anything but Mrs Spector or Mrs.

I haven't been able to find out a lot about this Belgium film. It's supposed to be based on the German Perutz Primera 200, which itself was bought by Agfa.

They kept this as a private label for Belgium. The film might also be based on the Agfa CT Precisa emulsion.

Whatever it is I think it will be good. Expired in 2005 and the first film up for grabs in my #tradefilm project.

If you're interested in shooting with this film you can trade me a different 135 roll of film for it!

p.s. this film was never sold in stores and was a promotional item for Spector members in Belgium!

"Originally by a German manufacturer of photographic film founded by Otto Perutz, this color negative film is no longer in production.

I tagged this post with ‘Agfa’ as Agfa bought over Perutz Photowerks about 5 decades ago and continued producing the film as a private label for a bit before discontinuing it.

This film produces true to life colors with close to no color shifts, and fine grain when shot under enough sunlight.

If you’re still just trying to figure out your camera settings, this would be a good film to experiment with.
