VINEX COWBOYS – WINNAAR FILM AWARD HET PARADEPAARDJE 2020!

 

‘De rare en rauwe werkelijkheid deed ons denken aan de begintijd van de ‘intelligente lockdown’

 

We hebben een winnaar ! – ‘VINEX COWBOYS’ de korte film van de Bossche regisseur èn co-scenarist Tim Ewalts en zijn team Kowalski winnen de felbegeerde film award HET PARADEPAARDJE 2020* mét een geldprijs t.w.v. 3000,-! Deze ontvingen zij zaterdag 5 september j.l. tijdens het Nieuwe Filmers Festival in de Verkadefabriek uit handen van de vakjury. De geldprijs dient te worden ingezet voor een nieuwe filmproductie. Nieuwe Filmers biedt hen in de opstart een filmproducent als coach. De film zal binnenkort te zien zijn als voorfilm in de Verkadefabriek.

 

De jury over ‘VINEX COWBOYS’: De jury was aangenaam verrast door deze productie. Echt film, er wordt amper in gesproken. Het niets, het desolate, het vervreemdende komt fijn naar voren. De cameravoering blijft spannend en heeft iets mystieks. De acteurs en de acteursregie zijn top; geen blik of ademhaling te veel. Zelfs het spel buiten beeld voelen we als kijker. De hoofdrolspeler acteert niet of nauwelijks. Deze rare en rauwe werkelijkheid beviel alle juryleden zeer, en deed ons denken aan de begintijd van de ‘intelligente lockdown’.

- DE PUBLIEKSPRIJS* 2020 is gewonnen door regisseur Robin de Ridder en zijn team Romedia Films voor de korte film ‘BARRY’S BAJES’. Het publiek heeft zich daarmee uitgesproken! ‘De leukste prijs om te krijgen ‘ aldus Robin de Ridder! Met de Publieksprijs winnen zij ook 1000,- euro prijzengeld!

De tien korte films gingen 5 september j.l. in première tijdens het feestelijke Nieuwe Filmers Festival in de Verkadefabriek. Deze zijn gemaakt tijdens het NF One Week Film project 2020 – filmmaken in 5 dagen- door een nieuwe generatie filmmakers uit het hele land. Films van maximaal 10 minuten, in verschillende genres en onderwerpen.

Project: Behind the Scenes Recording Guns

Background: We wanted to capture a behind the scenes to demonstrate our approach at Radium Audio.

This film is was shot by us, music - sound designed and edited and we commissioned Clemens Wirth to create the after fx you see layered on top.

 

The purpose of the film is to capture the approach and support the recent commissions from The Mill and Sky One with 100% genuine sounds.

 

We were commissioned by The Mill to sound design & edit the music for the new Codemasters “Bodycount” promo for E3.

 

And also by Sky One to create music and sound for a new promo with LL Cool J - NCIS TV. Radium founder Andrew Diey has a background in game development and has worked on over 25 games and our approach is to always capture and record sounds for what we work on. We cannot go into too much detail about the gun day, but we recorded all the sounds and our promo work contains 100% original source material, from the guns to the score.

 

How we did it: Set up the mic, testing levels, choose the guns from the armory, lock, load, gun handling, foley,

we didnt want to add any gun sounds to our first, but give you an alternative take on sound design.

Ist die Erde flach? Gibt es Corona überhaupt? Wird die Welt von Reptilien beherrscht, die sich als Menschen tarnen? Das alles sind Fragen, die online herumspuken und sich in die Offline-Realität einschleichen. Wie werden junge Menschen in die tiefen Höhlen des Internets gesogen? Finden sie online die Verbindungen, die sie offline verpasst haben? „Rabbit Hole“ von De Toneelmakerij ist eine interaktive Produktion am Puls der Zeit. In dieser einzigartigen, medienübergreifenden Umgebung sind die Grenzen zwischen online und offline vollkommen verschwommen. Über die eigenen Smartphones wird das Publikum Teil der Chat-Foren, in denen sich auch der isolierte Samy bewegt. Folgst du ihm into the „Rabbit Hole“? Oder bleibst du lieber draußen?

Part of CINECITY 2016, The Sound of Story presented a three-day programme of stimulating talks, masterclasses and workshops featuring a stellar line-up of world-class sound professionals.

 

Taking part were Ann Kroeber (Blue Velvet, Dead Poets Society), Catherine Hodgson (Atonement, Jane Eyre), Jo Jackson (Long Walk to Freedom, Suffragette), Judi Lee-Headman AMPS (Homeland, The Bible), Paul Davies (Hunger, The Queen, ’71, We Need to Talk About Kevin), Neil Cargill and Simon James (Akiha Den Den), Matthew Herbert (Life in a Day, Bodily Functions, One Pig), and Mike Brett (Notes on Blindness).

Vijf teams van een nieuwe generatie filmers maakten tussen 11 en 15 augustus jl., tijdens het NIEUWE FILMERS >>One Week Filmproject<< aan de hand van het thema ‘onbeweeglijk’, ieder een nieuwe korte film. Deze films zijn zojuist [26 september] in première gegaan op tijdens het Nieuwe Filmers Festival in Theater aan de Parade en waren in de race voor de nieuwe film award Het Paradepaardje.
