Finally finished. This was an ordeal - just between the zillions of knots in the yarn, the general shapelessness of the yarn, and the fact my dog chewed up the last ball of yarn, resulting in yet more knots. Front band a little wonky still, but no blocking has been done yet. I do like it, though, and it is comfortable. Great for a non-dressy type of sweater.
I was born in the year of Ox, so it's "my" year this year.
For those who were born year of... whatever the animal that year.... you have to be extra careful.
that what I was told from Chinese co-workers.
In Japan, women 24, men 36 are horrible bad luck year, and women 36 and men 48 are pretty sweet lucky.
So I'm lucky this year, but just in case, and they're really pretty, so I got two of "something red" to protect me and boost my luck this year..
It is a mile stone year for me.
New place, new friends, new job,.....
My mother told me, "women before 30 can change their lives", when we were kids at home.
My sister now senator, and I both say, "Women after 30 is when our real life just start."
Generation difference is a very positive way. I'm continue with my mission to make the world get used to the idea, "women professionals are here to excel".
This year will be "it" for me.
The end result. I started this sweater five nights ago, and ripped back three times. I'm not sure why I keep making mistakes. i've knitted this sweater before, and didn't have any problems with my knitting, just endless knots in the yarn I was using.
i love my porcelain table...gift from my mom a few years ago...just need some red chairs to go with!
