My wonderful SIL created gift bags this year and mailed them early with requests to “open” them!! They are sewn from quilt squares and the back side is red felt— isn’t she clever? The next picture in the photostream shows some of the things that were in the bag!

As a child, I loved cold fruit punch, and there would be no party without (done with white wine spritzer or sparkling wine for the adults and a mix of fruit juices and sparkling water for the kids ... and lots of chunks of fruits) ... I wouldn't enjoy it anymore these days, far too sweet for my liking : ))
I put three freeze-dried raspberries in a grappa glass and filled it up with sparkling water (so this is a nonalcoholic punch ; ))
taken with the manual 60 mm Laowa macro lens (this time no ultra macro; the glass is 5 cm wide at its "thickest" part, the neck is 3.5 cm wide). A slightly longer exposure time to show the floating bubbles.
Happy 17th Birthday, Macro Mondays and HMM : )
... and thanks a lot to all admins and moderators for running this great and creative group ! <3
Macro Mondays was the first group I joined here on Flickr, and this inspiring group has rekindled my love for photography more than once ... Thank you !!

Reine is the administrative centre of Moskenes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The fishing village is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres (190 mi) southwest of the town of Tromsø. Reine Church is located here and it serves the northern part of the municipality.
The 0.28-square-kilometre (69-acre) village has a population (2018) of 314 which gives the village a population density of 1,121 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,900/sq mi). The local newspaper is the Lofotposten.
Reine has been a trading post since 1743. It was also a centre for the local fishing industry with a fleet of boats and facilities for fish processing and marketing. There was also a little light industry. In December 1941, part of Reine was burnt by the Germans in reprisal for a raid on the Lofoten Islands by British troops. Today tourism is important, and despite its remote location, many thousands of people visit annually. The village is situated on a promontory just off the European route E10 highway, which passes through the village. Reine is located immediately to the south of Sakrisoya and Hamnøya.
Allers, once the largest weekly magazine in Norway, selected Reine as the most beautiful village in Norway in the late 1970s. A photograph over Reine from the mountain Reinebringen (altitude 448 metres (1,470 ft)) has been used for the front page of several tourist brochures and books. In 1999 the painter Ingo Kühl set up a provisional studio in a rorbu and painted the view over the harbor to the mountain range. In January 2015, Reine was the site from which Coca-Cola launched Coca-Cola life in Norway, referred to by the company as "our smallest launch yet". More than half the residents of the town (around 200 out of 307) attended this open-air event despite that it was mid-winter. In 2016–2019, a stone staircase was built up to Reinebringen, which made the mountain (previously considered steep, muddy and difficult to climb) easily accessible.

. . . I've been listening to Jill Scott allllllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllll day. Her words/music/lyrics followed me home from work. So I was inspired a little bit.
I was also listening to alot of "stuff" I should not have been listening too while at work like . . . well, I won't say but luckily no one walked in on me unexpectedly. I must have variety to make it through the day . . .

For Macro Monday..........Something Red
These red buttons were in jar of buttons found in a drawer of an Antique Singer Sewing Machine and cabinet that we purchased years ago.
I remember my Grandma wearing dresses with similar buttons and fabric!

#7: something red (in the style of Richard Telford)
Didn't had this in mind. Just drinking coffee with a friend when i saw this empty coke bottle on the next table. And i had to take this picture. and i love it....
I watched this gent walking along the pier with, who I presumed, is his grandson. The little boy asked him something and was then lifted up with the man pointing out towards the sea ... but there was nothing there!! The beautiful island of Arran and the great rock of Ailsa Craig had disappeared into the mist!!
