same spot as previous picture, some days later.
There is a clearing to the right, which gives some nice light from the side.
The fireweed adds color to the view from Summit Lake, Alaska. There is still a bit of snow high in the mountains. This is a focus bracketed and stacked image - hand held.

Hello Everyone,
what a rainy and cold Saturday. After rushing back home from the cafe a couple of blocks away and turning up the heat. I looked at the last of the gifts to be wrapped up and decided to be lazy and come into Second Life and travel around to all the places that were giving away their free holiday gifts, which is so wonderful for them to do and thankful for great gifts. When I was about done, I wanted to do a Look of the day photo for you all, this is more of a sophisticated evening/cocktail dress, than a day of shopping outfit, but I fell in love with the ensemble and will be wearing this for a long time to come. :)
I do not have much to write about today, I am so cold that my brain is freezing over. LOL. so please enjoy the photo and thank you all for allowing me to share with you! Have a wonderful Saturday, stay warm and be safe.
xoxo,
Hildda

Maagbossie (Triumfetta sonderi) a very common veldplant around here on a morning after much rain.....
I saw loads of these whilst out on a walk without my camera, so these are from last year.
Probably the last walk I did until after Easter as we were locked up and not allowed out for 2 months. This year is almost as bad, but at least we can go out for exercise, and some of the shops have opened again here in Umbria.
If all goes well, my age group may (or may not) get vaccinated by November.
Texture is my own.
I saw the garage scene at Backdrop Village (maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eversong/218/202/2204) and decided to pop on overalls and make myself look like a gearhead. Nothing in reality could be further from the truth.
I am far too short for the built in animations. I had to rez a box to stand on and add a pose of my own.

I had to resort to Google for this one.
Some people say that this full moon is the last full moon of the decade. However, there are those that argue that it occurred last December 2019. (See my post in the comments) At any rate, it's also known as the Cold Moon or the Long Night Moon. I caught it on Monday night just before it was actually full surrounded by puffs of pink clouds at sunset.
Some serious preening!
Slightly bigger than a mallard, these long-necked and small-headed ducks fly with a curved back pointed wings and a tapering tail, making this the best way to distinguish them from other ducks in the UK. The pintail is a 'quarry' species, meaning that it can be legally shot in winter, but - unlike in parts of Europe - it does not appear that shooting is affecting their population status in the UK. The small breeding population and significant winter population make them an Amber List species.

I thought I'd add a photo other than development and tower cranes tonight. :D
I also love TobyMac... I thought I'd share this song of his tonight too.
After several gloomy days, the weather turned awesome and these birds in Hyde Park knew how to celebrate.

Hello my friends!
Today I spent some time taking photos at "São Bernardo" lake. Yonder is a very beautiful place, and the weather is extremely pleasant. I Returned home feeling very good, because it's a very peaceful and harmonious place.
In addition, there are twenty-eight new photos on my personal stock. :)
I hope you enjoy this one.
Have a wonderful week!

Some of you have seen her in the 12 months group last year, but this is Margo, just turned 8 months. She's a typical puppy, full of beans and mischief and enjoys being a trip hazard! Fur has grown so fast, another trim coming up lol.
Margo is sat here on a chair, a moment of calm before she grabs the parrot toy and races around the lounge with her mum Olive. This after a good run on the fields earlier. I wish I had their energy!
