I went up in the morning to scout for new locations and found this tree. I didnt think much of it while I took the shot, but even in pretty poor conditions I quite liked how it turned out on the computer screen.

Leaves and trees, birds and flowers, butterflies, lakes and rivers these are a few of my "favorite things" to photograph!
Since this week the weather doesn't show a sing of improvement in this area of PA, I'm choosing this one that I took last November. I like the shadows and soft tones that the camera captured on this one.
It was early in the morning, and the light was soft and perfect, a little cold but I was wearing warm boots and everything else for the long hike. Canada geese were all over the place, which from time to time surprised me with the noise they make with their wings. Deer also were trying to find something to eat close by. Some leaves were laying on the ground, still frozen before the sun warmed them later that day...

Der Tag bot ein gutes Licht, nicht zu hart. Es war klar und die Weitsicht problemlos. Da kann mal man mit dem UWW rangehen.
Lots of land and few people. Sometimes that feels good. Especially if you live in a big city.
