Long summer evenings can offer special soft light and long shadows. I took this on my iPhone, looking east to Ivinghoe Beacon, where the Ridgeway, one of England's Long Distance footpaths begins. This Ancient path runs along the top of the terminal moraine, (left at the end of the last Ice Age) and ends at Avebury Stone Circle. A veritable Iron Age highway. . Everything to the north is pretty much flat until you get to the Pennines. The Chiltern Hills, England.
