The front of the Chifley Grocer is usually very busy with people sitting at tables and collecting coffee orders
So much has changed so quickly. We now live in a world dominated by some virus that's been reported as deadly. California's and New Yorker's have been told to stay inside and practice social distancing when in public.
These are some pictures I snaped while walking my dogs each day

This is one of my 15 successful photos which gained me the DPAGB (Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain ) at Newton Abbot, Devon on Sunday 28 November 21.

A flock of Black Vultures decided to fly by last night as I was capturing moon shots. They seem to be abiding by the new social distancing guidelines.
Most Rev. David Walkowiak, bishop of Grand Rapids, celebrated the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 during Holy Week.
At this Mass, the bishop consecrates the sacred Chrism and blesses the Oils of the Sick and of Catechumens. Chrism is used throughout the year in the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and ordination. Traditionally, at this Mass, the priests of the diocese publicly renew their commitment to priestly service.
This year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chrism Mass was celebrated without a congregation and with far fewer priests. Priest concelebrants included Msgr. Bill Duncan, vicar general and pastor of St. Sebastian Parish, Father Constanza, CSP, rector of the cathedral and the six deans of the diocese who will bring the oils to the parishes of their respective deaneries so that our parishes can stand ready to resume full liturgical life as soon as they are able.

Gord, Heather’s dad, came over a few days ago to get a network cable, and we did some social distance visiting. I found myself really struggling with the idea that he could be a threat to us, or us to him. My brain recognizes him as “family”, and therefore “Safe”. It feels inconceivable that he could be anything otherwise, despite the fact that we must assume the worst, for everyone’s safety. I understand much better why people are having such a hard time really grokking this new reality; our brains just aren’t wired to interpret threats in this way.
We hear about people who, having decided they are all been asymptomatic for long enough, or just can’t bear to live without each other, are expanding their shelter in place bubbles to include multiple households, with multiple family members, all of whom practice safe distancing, and protective hygiene with different levels of diligence and effectiveness. It got me thinking about how people are making decisions about who they’re going to die with, which is a rubber meets the road way of saying: those they can’t, or won’t, live without. Which is some pretty heavy stuff to consider, but I guess that’s the dystopian Sci-Fi novel come to life that we’re all living in. #socialdistancing #shelterinplace #dystopiannow #fujifilmx100f #family
