The well-known Frankfurt amusement district with brothels, bars and sex shops has been totally run down since the Covid measures. Here only junkies and dealers lurk around.
I love the Hardbrücke train station for these large windows and the opportunity to silhouette passersby in front of them. The title of this post is in reference to the amount of space that the station visitors seem to be leaving each other (social distancing) and also me wishing that I had a wider angle lens with me. It would have been nice to frame this composition with some more room at the bottom and leave the subjects with room to move into.

My daughter playing in the college campus where I live. With the college closed, this allows us an effective social distancing method while allowing her to play outdoors. Only if the Midwest weather was more supportive!
From Wednesday 16.12.2020 the stores in Frankfurt are closed. Christmas and New Year's Eve practically forbidden. Unique in German history.
The great blue heron seems to be practicing "social distancing" by isolating itself up in a tree overlooking a pond, or perhaps it is hoping to avoid contact with the photographer?

A nice day for a ride . Golden Ears Peak is in the middle of the frame. Out bike riding and I found a bit of shade to take this . It was a hot 30 degrees C out and not much of a breeze. Views I never get tired of and only a short drive from my house. One of the quieter spots in Metro Vancouver where these days, everyone is trying to keep their distance from others. Few were out on this hot day. A great way to beat Covid -19 overload !!
Not quite what I was aiming for. I was hoping to catch the water suspended in the air, but I liked this one. Just as the balloon split before the water escaped. I probably wouldn't be able to get this if I tried.

Day 18 — Stay Home, Stay Healthy!
Here’s a close up look at one of the bushtits that’s nesting in our trees (see Day 3 pic). The nest looks complete from what I can tell so either they’re putting some final touches on it or starting to lay eggs. These are tiny, twitchy birds that never seem to hold still for a photo even when I’m parked near a feeder. Another something that I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t stayed home to reduce the spread of covid-19.
A BBQ and a smoke as one of the hottest days of the year comes to an end. As the COVID 19 lockdown has been relaxed, thousands of beachgoers flocked to Brighton today as temperatures hit 30C (lower than the maximum temperature in South East England, which topped 36C). Authorities in Brighton have taken action to reduce the crowds flocking to their beaches on one of the hottest days of the year, with fears that social distancing will not be possible. Brighton, UK.
