On our last day on the Serengeti we saw this amazing eagle. It had caught something and was taking off to a tree nearby to enjoy the fruits of its labor...
Update: thanks to a friend from www.nikoncafe.com I know now this snack boy is called Bateleur, with Latin name Terathopius ecaudatus.
Three-Color Tunisian on the Diagonal in summery sport weight yarn.
A project example from the Burly Bias Tunisian crochet pattern by Vashti Braha. Subtitled First Steps in Diagonal Tunisian Crochet. It's the next step for beginning Tunisian crocheters after the original Burly Scarf pattern.
Chunky variegated yarns are the best for this (hence the name Burly) and result in some great gift scarves for men.
A popular snack in the Philippines that's dipped in vinegar with garlic and chillies. The sweet potatoes are grated and small prawns are usually used. Annato seeds are used to give the fritters that bright orange color.

We finished our visit to the Primates, Cats and Aquatics building and Billy indicated it was time for some snacks.
I couldn't resist and stole one of the thicker crepes for a snack with chocolate. All melty goodness. Mmm.. reminds me of my time in Switzerland and those crepe stands!
My current fav chocolate is Scharfeen Berger Dark, but Gianduja is what I had! Not bad for that hint of hazelnut.
Ok, snack time done, back to the Mille Crèpe!
Welcome to beautiful historical Old Sacramento. The weather was picture-perfect out. Usually it's super hot here in the valley. Pic taken Saturday, August 10, 2019. This was during our all-guys trip to Sacramento, CA…
*Our trip in summary:
We left around 9:30 a.m. after meeting up with the rest of the crew in Milpitas. The drive was nice all the way to Roseville, CA, which was where our 1st activity was (Rockin' Jump Trampoline Park). Upon arriving, they were still closed until 3 p.m. so we went to Westfield Galleria to eat lunch & walk around a bit. Later, we went to the Roseville Golfland Sunsplash to do go-kart racing (my 1st time) & play some arcade games. By 3 p.m., we headed back to do 2 games of laser tagging at the Rockin' Jump Trampoline Park. It was fun & was also my 1st time playing this game. Then, we checked in at the Residence Inn in Rancho Cordova, CA. After resting up, we ate dinner at the grill area in the front of the inn. The weather was perfect out. Then we had worship/devotion at Pastor's room. As 8 p.m. neared, we went to the JAR Studios Escape to do an escape room (my 1st time too)! It was interesting and thrilling & the theme was an apocalyptic setting. The owner of the escape room ended up helping us a lot. We ended the day by watching Endgame back at the inn. By the next day, Saturday, August 10, 2019, we had continental breakfast, had devotion at 9:30 & then headed to Old Sacramento to explore around, eat a snack & checked out the California State Railroad Museum. We then headed back home just after 2 p.m. There was quite a bit of traffic on the way back. Spontaneously, we decided to eat our early dinner at Fuddruckers in Dublin, CA. We then continued our final homestretch back to reality (after seeing quite a few crazy drivers in the process). Anyways, safe travels!

A snack shop near the Go Bus station. What do you need? Pop? Water? Chipsy? This place even has an espresso machine. These types of outdoor shops are everywhere in Egypt. I know they're not especially practical here where the weather varies from -20 to +40 over the course of the year, but I kind of wish we had something similar.
