This image began with a hand-drawn curve composed of many points cionnected by line segments.. The points were reduced to a small number with the Ramer-Douglas-Peucker (RDP) algorithm and then connected with smooth Bezier curves into a "Bezier Path," a sequence of Bezier curves.. The path was extrapolated into many curves on either side of the original.
We didn't break apart in stormy weather
We didn't run around like others do
Now we're not afraid when storm clouds gather
'Cuz we got the kind of love that'll see us though
We've got smooth sailing, sailing
Looks like every drop of rain is gone, gone, gone
Smooth sailing, sailing
And a blue sky full of rainbows from now on

There were numerous newts in the pond in the butterfly garden at the reserve. There were at least 2 sorts, but this was the only one I was able to photograph reasonably. It is at the bottom of the pond, but the pond is not deep and the water was clear. It isn't a great photo but I am pleased to have it taken in its natural environment.
