Small Axe is by Bob Marley and is one of my reggae favourites. This was another uplifting view from the top of Boredale pass on the bridleway to Patterdale. It's been fairly wet and dismal since so I was very lucky to get such great views.

Small In Frame - It took me a while to come around with the small in frame trend, but I think the switch to mirrorless and going back to using a zoom lens helped me explore and appreciate this type of photography more. The subject/eye autofocus allows me to compose these images real time, no more moving the focus point or focusing and recomposing. With a zoom, I am able to capture a portrait and a wider angle shot from the exact same spot I am standing. This is especially useful for fast subjects like hummingbirds - by the time you move, they are off the perch!

Loved the juxtaposition here of the colorful hummingbird with the dry vegetation.

I decided to make a second attempt to see the small blues at this reserve. This time I did see quite a few though very few allowed me to get a photo.

This is one of the few places I tend to see small heaths and I was pleased to get a photo. They rarely pose for one.

It turned out to be a fairly short visit due to circumstances in my private life, but still successful.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them! Thanks again!!

Perfectly held after fallen over the fence...

I found all of these old hand written pleadings between the leaves of this book today. Under the hand of a man long since gone. And a thank you note received from a friend, appreciated and hidden for safe keeping 60 years ago.

Much too hot to go visit these little fellows so here's a photo from a few weeks ago.

The northbound chase of the third Dakota and Iowa train of the day (the Sioux City to Hawarden job) only yielded a few shots as it was relatively short distance, the light was generally wrong, and the day was winding down. This was by far my favorite of the mini chase of this train seen here in the small town of Akron. They are passing one of the very few surving Milwaukee Road depots along the line, that seems to have lasted because it has long been privately owned.

This is right about MP 12.3 on what was historically the thirty-seventh sub of the Milwaukee Road's Minnesota-Dakota Division in the road's last years. Here are DAIR SD40-2s 3029 and 3025 (EMD blt. Jun. 1979 and Jun. 1980 as MP 6041 and BN 8117 respectively) leading a moderately sized train of tanks, gons, and aggregate hoppers.

And that is actually what this is named, the Small White. Just sitting on the fence enjoying the summer sun.

When I slip into the Yolande Mini, I know I’m wearing more than just a dress—it’s a bold declaration of confidence and edge. Designed with Soft PBR, this piece doesn’t just shine—it mesmerizes, wrapping me in a deep, silky glow that catches the light with every daring step I take. It’s a mini that says I’m not afraid to stand out.

The edgy allure of the Yolande Mini comes alive in its provocative cut. Barely-there straps frame my shoulders, while the plunging back and unapologetically short hemline reveal just enough to keep them guessing. Every detail is deliberate, from the delicate garter accents that tease rebellion to the impossibly realistic transparencies that flirt with danger.

The textures are a masterpiece—finely detailed 2K brilliance that looks almost too real. Whether I’m glowing under PBR-enabled viewers or rocking classic Blinn Phong settings, this dress adapts flawlessly to the mood I want to create. Toggleable PBR and Blinn Phong options via HUD let me choose between a high-gloss shine or a more traditional shimmer—because edgy means having options.

Tailored for perfection, this mini hugs my curves with compatibility for LaraX, PetiteX, Legacy, Perky, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies—yes, Waifu, with transparency and shine intact. It’s the ultimate mix of high fashion and fearless sensuality.

The Yolande Mini isn’t just a dress—it’s my armor, my edge, my unapologetic self. With every step, I own the room. With Yolande, I’m the moment.
