Today the sun was shining and it was hot so having parked at Glynde I decided to stay high up so walked up Mt Caburn and then down into a valley to look for Burnt Tip Orchids and I have been trying for about 5 years but never managed to get the right combination of times dates and places so today was all of those and so Orchid images and also butterflies birds landscapes paragliders masts and trolleys.
I spend several hours running behind these small wonderful creatures, finally captured a few somewhat 'good' pics..
This one was on the window and looks like stunned by the flash. It has 6 eyes 4 in front and 2 on sides - see [http://www.flickr.com/photos/chandanas_photography/3497128782/]
A small village along the Romantic Road. Not much interesting thing here. Later I found that the main attraction is actually a church a few kilometers south of the village. The church houses a masterpiece of the 15th century master wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider of the Creglingen. Unfortunately I missed it.

The small tortoiseshell is a colourful Eurasian butterfly in the family Nymphalida.
I saw this adorable pattern in my Quilt and more magazine. I thought it looked so fast and easy, I just used some extra fabric laying around to give it a whirl. 30 minutes from start to finish. I think I may make a few of these to have handy when we are giving a gift card as a present. You can check out the pattern here. www.allpeoplequilt.com/projects-ideas/bags-pillows/small-...
