Once there was a way to get back home
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby
Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby
One of those days where anything can happen. Our first point of interest was being renovated, our second had too many people about but looked really 'good' will have to go back... Then finally we had luck, ram jammed to the hilt and unmolested this place was awesome . So much to see but we ran out of light a more thorough return will have to be taken.
As I went into a downstairs room my leg started to slowy started to sink the carpet saved me hence Hole House Farm :)
As always in the UK
The searchlights at MP 120 are dark as they sleep away under an increasingly cloudy night. The signals themselves still display the milepost of their original owner (77.3 on the Back Road), the Maine Central, and are the first signals of many between here, and CPF-66, at Northern Maine Junction. In another hour or two, POWA will activate them for a few minutes, before they go dark again, waiting for WAPO.

Nearing the end of my Lofoten images now.
This was taken as a heavy snow storm began to clear. It took several attempts since my tripod was inconveniently settling into the wet sand with unreasonable rapidity!
When Stuart was a puppy, Rocky wouldn't stay in the same room with him but now you can't pry them apart.

A quick snapshot.
Rosh Hashanna is coming in about a month. Miss Cecily has begun practicing blowing the Shofar.
It is very difficult to get long steady sustained sound from a ram's horn trumpet. Miss Cecily has mastered the art. It is intense and very dramatic!!

In each tightly furled bud, spring slumbers, even though the cold winds of November blow and snowflakes hover in the sky. A lone leaf on the branch will soon join its sisters on the soft earth. I'm grateful for the four seasons which bring me joy at every step.
A study in light and shade as DB Class 044 2-10-0 'Jumbo' 044 378-8 awaits its next call to duty from its home depot of Ehrang, near Trier, on 23rd April 1972. Present 'on shed' during this Sunday visit were 49 steam locomotives, of which 26 were noted in steam - a great pity that you cannot smell the ingredients of the atmosphere in this image. During my time leisurely wandering around the motive power depot, a mixed freight hauled by another 044 arrived from the south and two further 'Jumbos' and two Class 023 2-6-2s headed as light engines, south away from Ehrang. This was certainly an experience for sore eyes after being deprived of main line steam in the UK for almost four years by this time! This Agfa CT18 transparency was one of the last taken with my Halina camera before the purchase of a new Pentax Spotmatic and f1.4 standard lens. With a heavy contrast and its usual severe colour cast and grain, it somehow evaded being thrown into a dustbin many years ago, and has remained at the bottom of my list for scanning and restoration, but it has finally been given some attention and has at long last seen the light of day after almost 47 years of slumbering!

Bonobos and chimpanzees diverged from each other around 2 million years ago and differ in morphology, behaviour and perhaps even emotions and cognition in important ways.
The Bonobo - Bonobos are female dominant, with females forming tight bonds against males through same-sex socio-sexual contact that is thought to limit aggression. In the wild, they have not been seen to cooperatively hunt, use tools, or exhibit lethal aggression.
The Chimpanzee - Chimpanzees are male dominant, with intense aggression between different groups that can be lethal. Chimpanzees use tools, cooperatively hunt monkeys, and will even eat the infants of other chimpanzee groups.
