I think this is a juvenile bald eagle. I stopped the car and had my camera ready. After a couple of minutes it decided I was too threatening and flew off. There is not much left of a deer carcass that a local resident at put on the ice that covers the Androscoggin River.

Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim + Hybrid Redscaled Konica Minolta VX Super 200 + Double Exposure. (Print first, Redscale 2nd.)

Continuing experiments with redscale... First run through as standard print film mostly around Bristol, Blagdon Lake, & Stanton Drew. The film was then removed from the canister in a dark bag, reversed then replaced in the canister (all still in the dark bag) and shot through as Redscale around Bristol, Weston Super Mare (briefly) & Glastonbury.

I did not line up the film, nor take notes, nor plan the compositions, beyond remembering that the first run through might take up some variety of colour and the second run through might work well with strong lines & silhouettes or textures.

The negatives were returned uncut as requested, but I did get lab scans - any overlaps of one frame over another, are a result of this. I have cropped where I feel it is most helpful to do so, so any inclusion of frame overlap is these uploaded images has been an active choice. I will almost certainly return to the negs with a home scanner to search for alternative compositions to complement these.

Redscaling.

Basically it involves taking a roll of ordinary 'bog standard' print film, reversing it and respooling it into another film canister (all done in a dark bag) so that the light is exposed on 'the wrong side of the film' when you take a shot. You then lose two 'stops' on the optimal exposure conditions from the original. It gets developed in exactly the same way as print film, but be prepared for the technician to be a little startled (at best) or a little irritated (at worst) when they realise that something very odd has happened to the film. :)

In just a few days I will be making a major lifestyle change leaving the old world, Italy, and returning to the new world, USA, after a lifetime apart! It's a trial and I am hoping it will work!

Image taken with the Superheadz Wide & Slim, the third (or fourth) generation of “Wide & Slim” plastic cameras begun by the legendary Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim. Viva la Viv! I learned a lot about film shooting from +faster+ and Jim Johnson's work with Vivs. My Viv is still functional, barely. Viv’s surprising popularity as a Lomo God led to the release of other copy cats. I next went with the Eximus Wide & Slim, which has done it’s duty and passed away. Viva la Superheadz!

This is a fruting body of Physarum, a genus of slime molds. I tried the digital teleconverter of the Olympus OM1 II to reach 8:1 at MFT(16:1 35mm from).

The epitaph on his grave, "Me lonely? Hell no! I'm half coyote and half wild burro."

Er betreibt also Mimikry. Der Körper ist in die Länge gestreckt und recht schlank gebaut. Er ist der einzige Vertreter der Bockkäfer, dessen lange fadenförmigen Fühler und Beine abwechselnd gelb und schwarz gefärbt sind.

Spotted narrow blocks are 14 to 20 millimeters long. The basic color of the body is black, only the wing covers are yellow and have separate black spots in front and behind, more or less contiguous black transverse bands. This drawing will vary from animal to animal and causes other animals keep the beetles for a wasp. So he operates mimicry. The body is stretched in length and built quite slim. He is the only representative of the longhorn beetle, whose long threadlike antennae and legs are alternately colored yellow and black.

If someone could tell me the name of those mushrooms...

Edit : I was told : Mycene

Thank you SkeletalMess for the wonderful free texture.

This was the first one I did and has been sitting around for 6 months. There's probably a bit of dust on it too.
