It took three visits to finally get this shot. On the first one, I forgot memory card in my laptop. Yup...
Second go, and I got chased away by the rain.
But finally, today conditions were on my side.
Thanks for looking everyone, have a great rest of the week!
Small Easter-tailed Blue butterfly taking nectar from a tiny field Daisy.
Common. Easy to overlook. This butterfly is about the size of your little fingernail.
This bull elk was munching on some willow branches. The day before he was digging through the snow for some grass. I imagine it is pretty slim pickings this far into winter.

Lots of deer tracks this time of year. Looking for anything edible. Not much for them.

Sometimes less is more but I'm pretty sure spiders would struggle with that concept! It's tough out there at this time of year but I'm glad that somehow they find a way to survive.

➤ Your composition must have some kind of decorative border.
➤ NO PEOPLE (other than, possibly, the sculpture).

When out the other day decided to ride out to see if any eagles. First time out there since last winter and have heard they have been seeing them. Well one on the ground and several in trees. They have picked the deer carcass to the bones. These are some of the deer that get hit by cars near this farmers land and he pulls them farther in the field where the eagles can come and go and won't get hit by cars.

Song Sparrow foraging some empty sunflower seed hulls beneath my feeder.
Common. Can be found in almost all area habitats. Greatly reduced in the winter.
