....Of the Peak District. One from a few years back but just re-edited as I'm housebound looking after the pup :)

A fossil ammonite polished section revealing the interior structures and mineral colors of this ancient sea creature. A specimen for sale in a local rock shop. It is nearly a foot in diameter.

My daughter, from whom I'd not heard for a long time, sent me as a Christmas present a wonderful little knife: a lovely Yaxell 5 1/2" utility knife, the sharpest knife I've ever used. Really extraordinary.

Heading North West away from the center of Alicante along the A7 you will see this wonderful area of outstanding beauty to your lefthand side, a truly special area to visit with a camera.

According to some clever websites, these unusual geology forms have evolved over the last 200 million years, producing these complex and colourful patterns. I was very surprised at how similar they are to some well-known sites in the United States.

I hope you like this image, and as always, thank you for looking

I took this shot, among many, of a little utensil that I use to squeeze my teabag when it is done. The real purpose of the object was to squeeze lemon slices but works nicely on teabags also... I like this particular shot because of the reflections on the counter top !!! Only treatment was enhance (sharpen) with Topaz Detail and frame...

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (Official Video)

DisfrĂștalo. No te pares.

. No dejes que se vaya tu alegría

Enjoy it. Do not stop.

Today, just 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with a tumor, for which I had to be operated on and treated for 15 long months, and which left me in limbo.

During that time, I learned to put aside those things that until then were relevant to me, to go on to appreciate those small, everyday, unlikely things that until that moment, I had not been able to appreciate, savor, admire and "taste" with pleasure. , the breeze, the people, the flowers, a breakfast, a chat with your neighbors, a hug from mommy, the kisses of my little girl, details that we are so used to, that we let them pass
.

Someone, whom I love very much, my best friend and wonderful doctor, said to me, "Don't let your joy sink in."

The last thing I heard when I went into the operating room, was this song from Queen, which an operating room nurse put me "Don't Stop me now." When I came out of the ICU two days later, the first thing I saw was a nine year old with a shaved head eating a piece of sandwich. This photo goes for the little one. Three days later, a colleague of that nurse put us “We‘ re the champions ”by Queen.

And in the meantime, I feel like that day again, and life goes on and doesn't stop
.

Don't let your joy go

I saw a photo on Pinterest of an orange sliced like this, but I did not like the composition. So I did my own version. I just wish that I had moved the knife two inches to the left so it was not bisecting the apple and the reflection of the apple.

i love having a lady who paints..

With piles of trash and deteriorating buildings, this slice of life shows just part of the sprawl of towns and cities.
