I sliced into this lovely red onion as I was making some Pico de Gallo this evening and thought it looked interesting. So I took its portrait.
Waited for low tide and took a walk to Marsden. Some of it was very rough going as I wanted to get the stacks at the south of the beach. Perhaps it would be easier to tackle it from Souter and head North up the headland. Anyway more on G+
Rebaking converted the soft crust to a thick and crunchy one, but it left the crust heavily blistered. The crumb was terrible. I think I need a much longer proofing time.

Some very bright white sky today meant some very high contrast shots.
Any guesses which building this is? (may be more obvious than the mystery I think it is...)

This week’s theme for my 52 project is “Food.” I was originally trying to think of something elaborate to photograph for the theme. I ultimately ended up going with simple macro shots. This is my alternate — sliced tomatoes. I cut these up to make a sandwich, but took pictures of them first. This shot was taken with natural light.
