I slept all day today and I regret nothing. And I've been trying to find an excuse to upload this picture because it was a pain in the ass to put together.
Song of the day: Backroads - Post Season
40/365
I slept in this morning despite sunny weather. However Stel and I headed out at noon to see if we could snag 22A with the 8104 leading as I really didn't have but one so-so shot of it so its been on my "get list". Intel indicated 22A was out of Burnside about 10:30 this morning. Approaching Shakertown we heard the DS tell T19 to get in the clear at Harrodsburg as DV was ready to let 22A loose. Well it turns out the DS and/or DV was a little ahead of himself as it would be over an hour before 22A finally departed DV but not being able to see the future we headed straight to Harrodsburg and waited. And watched T19 come and go before 22A finally showed up at 1:57.

Slept poorly (too much excitement) then was up at 6 to be in the German school I’m working in. The day started at 8 and was over by 11.10am. Went for a bracing walk around Dahn in the afternoon and was rewarded with this panorama looking towards the French border from the top of Römerfelsen, a sandstone outcrop.

Dallas slept in my arms last night as I watched Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines .. a favorite movie I'd seen in the theater with my parents back in 1965. I watched more of it this afternoon ...... (It's on YouTube.) I was happy for the company. I like watching movies with a friend. 🐈
They said the district slept without incident; that nothing ever strayed from its assigned coordinates,
that even the night itself respected
the fragile etiquette of the city’s perimeter.
But then the vector broke.
Not with violence,
not with spectacle,
but with a slow, deliberate collapse; a deliberate misalignment of intentions,
as though the machine had grown tired
of pretending it believed in destinations.
Its hull scraped the asphalt
with the resonance of a confession
forced out after decades of mechanical obedience.
The road shuddered beneath it,
not in fear,
but in recognition; as if pavement, too, remembered
what it was designed to forget.
Above, dark shapes drifted;
silent, angular silhouettes
that moved without aerodynamics,
as if following a grammar
no physics had ever approved.
They did not circle.
They hovered like accusations
waiting for a witness to blink.
The fallen structure exhaled
a plume of pale vapor; not smoke,
but the residue of a memory
it could no longer carry alone.
A memory of function.
A memory of servitude.
A memory of paths traced
for purposes never disclosed to it.
Windows in the towers lit up
as though summoned by the rupture,
but no face appeared.
The city watched without eyes,
listening through its circuits
to the heresy unfolding at its core.
The object pulsed; a slow, arrhythmic refusal,
each tremor rewriting
the unspoken contract
between motion and meaning.
The street narrowed around it,
not physically,
but perceptually; as if space itself recoiled
from the idea of witnessing
a structure abandon its identity.
And then the verdict came,
not spoken,
not transmitted,
but understood by every dormant wire
in the district’s spine:
that trajectories are only prisons
worn smooth by repetition,
that direction is a form of obedience,
that even machines
eventually suffocate in purpose.
Standing before the fallen vector,
you felt the gravity shift; a tilt in the architecture of night,
a fracture in the doctrine of movement.
Your breath slowed,
your pulse thickened,
your outline wavered
as if the world were deciding
whether to keep you.
And through the drifting vapor,
the machine whispered its dissent:
No path endures.
No vector remains loyal.
Every route collapses
beneath the weight of its own intention.
Here, at last, the night abandons direction.
And you, standing in its wake,
understood that nothing had crashed.
It had escaped.
Day 2 / 365
Today was awesome.
I just slept two or maybe three hours because me and my friend Rebekka watched Harry Potter. The whole night. We started with the first film and finished with the fifth. Actually we wanted to watch the sixth, too but we were too tired, although we drank coffee the whole night.
When we wanted to watch every episode of Little Britain we failed. After watching three sketches we fell asleep.
We can be proud of ourselves. :D
That's why there is a Harry Potter book in this photo.
The birds brought seed & flowers & bits of brightly colored string & placed them in her hair while she slept so that she would remember the wild joy of spring when she finally awoke.

"He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came
And still i dream he'll come to me
That we'll live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell i'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed
The dream i dreamed"

Ack I needed about an hour more sleep this morning but sadly I had to go to work, I am sooo pooped, wish i just slept in!
Slept for less than 4 hours and woke up to the harrowing sound of winds that never seemed to have stopped. The sky was brightening up fast. As soon as I packed away my sleeping pad and the tarp, I set up my cameras. Again, I bundled up myself in the sleeping bag while waiting for the glow to descend upon Carson Peak, above Rush Creek Falls. The sound of the waterfalls was deafening as it constantly filled up the basin. As the facade of the peak was getting painted in bright orange, the whole world was slowly coming to life.
Almost slept it out for this sunrise.. And might have got a speeding ticket getting here for it - kinda reckon it may have been worth it though...
Cheers to Sean, Jane, Arthur, Pat and Pat for the company - and especially Sean for the breakfast afterwards!

I will take advantage of this quarantine and try to share every day a picture with you throughout this period where we could discuss different subjects…
Inchaelah everything will be alright as soon as possible.

I slept in until 7:45 this morning, I can’t remember the last time I did that, it was probably down to letting Toby out for a pee at 5:30. Not to very long ago that would be my sleep over and I’d just take the dogs for a walk, but now with Just old Toby apart from the occasional need to pee early doors there is no shifting him. I had to carry him back from a short walk yesterday morning as he’d seized up and went lame. Poor soul this is the same dog that climbed Blencathra and Helvellyn in full winter conditions from ground level, we certainly had adventures when he was younger. Anyway back to 7:45 and I looked out to see new snow was falling, so out with the camera’s. Wellies on I walked a couple of miles to Cleadon Hills to visit the ponies again, snapping on the way. I had no intension of taking the car as it was sliding all over the place on Friday went I visited the Dentist and has been on the drive ever since. My last car had Michelin Crossclimates fitted, they were great, but we swapped the Kia Ceed for a Nero in March. I intended to fit Crossclimates but never got round to it, so Tuesday it’s in for new tyres just when the snow will have melted. At least I’ll have the confidence to take the car into the wilds if we have further bad weather. The photo is probably the best of the morning, it would have been better if I hadn’t lost critical focus, but I love the action of the pony and the composition and I’ve already printed it to mount and sell at @TheWord and will be taking it in tomorrow.
I slept in the truck and woke up at 4:30AM to start driving looking for a shot when those trees caught my attention, just as the sun was peeking out on the horizon.

Here is a sunset from last night on top of Bundeena Cliffs. New south wales is having some serious bushfires and this mass of smoke was coming all the way from the Blue Mountains area. Many people lost their homes and so much wildlife died and got injured, mother nature showed us once again that she is in control of this extraordinary place.

I slept 12 hours after dinner last night, thanks to back pain and trying to keep up a 5 days a week work out schedule. But my health is good otherwise, I'm alive and I have no excuse not to keep pushing.
Today's post is an attempt to be moody without fussing over tones and shadows, etc. Whenever I try to make something really dark and dramatic, I end up doing my usual treatment with the shadows. Tried not to this time and I think I like the result.
Hope ya'll have a stellar weekend.
I slept at night in the croatia .. I stayed 6 in the morning, I started march down and down the car, coffee in my hand around the truck. No problem.

Slept in accidentally last Sunday morning and thought sunrise was half an hour later than it actually was. Rushed down to Derwentwater to see about 10 other tripods scattered round which was a bit disheartening. Didn't get anything decent of the sunrise but found a quiet spot to find a composition of the moon setting over one of the trees from the island in the middle of the lake.
Slept in all day, never bothered to go out in either first or second life. Despite taking it slow on a Saturday that doesn't mean I would ever neglect looking amazing!

This is my second attempt at a blog post. I'm still learning, so please give me all the feedback you can! ♥
I thought I deserved to get up late. And I didn't even go to bed late last night. 7 hours sleep. That was great although I did wake up for Subuh. It was after then that I decided to get back to bed.
And it was the right decision.
Woke up half an hour later. Hit the Facebook to wish friends and colleagues Merry Xmas, checked the news and a couple of blog entries later, it was time to hit the shower.
Again, for those celebrating, a Very Merry Xmas. I was sure a few other were in bed still chilling. Good on you!
Blogged here.
and she slept in that bed until way to big for it, but it was her favourite!
Me and my Goldie are apart for the week at the moment and its horrible without her getting under my toes! I'm settling into my new job before I bring her up to start work, so I don't get to see her :0(
I'm filling my time looking back over old photos of her and found this one, it has little photographic merit but I love the little smile and the flicked up tail so I thought I'd share!
She has some great news to tell when I can get back to see her for a suitable photo. No hints, you'll have to wait!
