My brain is usually on overdrive between the hours of 2300 and 0600, capable of spewing higher levels of creative thinking, making it possible to write my analysis reports or to crunch numbers; yet, between the hours of 0900 and 1600 (depending on which day of the week), I tend to follow a routine that requires little thought. Mornings and afternoons that swim through moment after moment, hitching a smooth-ride on the rostrolateral prefrontal cortex (RLPFC).

Mist, taking a 'nap' on the way up the Pikes earlier this year. A beautiful snowy day - the three of them were having a whale of a time - Mist is the 'wise' one however and knew full well that when we get high up in the hills that means a long day out and therefore conserving one's energy is the way to go - the other two however where playing 'chasing with teeth' behind my shoulder (that happens when Paddy's aggravated Auntie Elk sufficiently enough for her to chase him - she means it, Paddy just thinks it's fun - and that's likely not to change as it's unlikely that Elk will ever catch the Mach 1 machine!)

Dec. 12. 2019 -

Samuel White turned around, facing the ceiling. This wasn't going to work. Maybe he should pop a sleeping pill or something.

Suddenly his phone buzzed. He took his glasses off the nightstand, putting them on then reached for and unlocked the phone with his thumb as a message Pops up.

"Hey." The message read.

"I am not sure if you remember me. Nora Skar here. You know ,Grahams crazy friend who runs after hens and goats in the summer :)"

- Of Course Sam remembered her. Very well actually. He still felt himself smiling like an idiot when he thought of her. He continued reading.

"I am not good with long and nice messages so i will ask straight. Would you like to visit me in Aurora Falls?"

Sam smirked. Now that was a surprise.

"Just for a weekend, maybe? Of course Graham is here too!"

Sam chuckled. Of course she had to tell him his brother was there, too. Obviously she didn't want to sound like she just wanted to see him because she missed him.

He started to type a reply, still grinning.

"Hey, of course I remember you Nora..."

… Then he stopped , deleting it again. Not replying at all. He would just travel over to Aurora Falls tomorrow. He couldn't wait to meet her again. And most of all, surprise her and see her silly face when he suddenly showed up so unexpected.

Long exposure of Seattle Downtown nightview.

Marco and I realized that we barely have any landscape photos of Seattle during the day! I just cannot resist the night and the soft tone long exposure images give.

We had full moon and i spontaneously decided, to go to one of my favourite places. It's called Wamberg, a small village above Garmisch. As i built up the tripod, the fog broke up and we had an unforgettable atmosphere...

"Seattle is like a global gumbo, a melting pot with all kinds of people - the rich, the poor, white people, some Chinese, Filipino, Jewish and Black people - they're all here" _Quincy Jones_

After 3 weeks in the Northwest for location work assignments, I had one last night in Seattle before a flight out the next morning... the Pier seemed like a perfect place to get a few shots before heading to hotel. It had such an electric beauty about it. Seattle is definitely one of my favorite places!

Useless fact #1; I hate sleeping alone.

It's going to be a long night, and I better get used to this.
