Sleeping Swan II
A re-edit of an image I took 2 years ago today. Since then I feel I have grown as a photographer in many ways including gaining far more skills in post processing.
I have been using @captureonepro for nearly a year now and as I needed to learn how it worked, it almost reset my editing approach. I think I had become too complacent and reliant on presets. I have found many benefits to Capture One Pro which I will put down in a future blog post.
This image was edited in Capture One Pro and the first thing I noticed was the colours. Capture One’s RAW processing appeared to make the colours pop more than before.

We went to visit the kids again last weekend. Trying to get in as many visits as we can, before the mountain passes get too snowy.

We went on a long walk today. This is one of Gimli's favorite sleeping spots. He is using a rock as a pillow.

We put heated pads on two dresser tops so the cats have a warm place to sleep when the bed is full. I always have a window open and the screen door, even in cooler weather. I find it hard to breath with the heater on, and it does get cold in here.

A living specimen (sleeping), that i brought to my studio in the early morning.
This experiment showed me that some species can stay immobile quite a long time in my studio while the temperature is low and my LED lights are not too strong.
Stacking made of 39 images, assembled using Zerene Stacker (Pmax & Dmap). Post production using Adobe Lightroom5.6, Adobe Photoshop CC 2019. Canon 600D. SK Componon S 50mm reversed, ISO-100, F4.7, 0,6 sec. 4 daylight LED, DIY diffuser. Step size : 30µm.
