The sleeping giant. Easy to imagine this as the folds of skin of some giant dinosaur, instead of the reality - the flanks of ‘Painted Hills’, a striking natural phenomenon in Oregon.
Maybe a waste to offer this in monochrome, as the colours of the rocks are truly stunning but with the light at this time of the day, I was more impressed by the shapes and textures. Two hours later, it had all changed and Painted Hills showed why they are so called.

Our Daily Challenge: MY FAVORITE . . . ANIMAL
Powerful, fast and beautiful.
Under the right circumstances, sometimes even cute (like on the photo), but also sneaky and of course dangerous. Overall, tigers are fascinating animals.
We were at the park (we go there almost always) and I was thinking about some shots of a laying Lassie… It was sunny and pretty hot…so she thought to relax a bit!
She is not sleeping but just waiting!
Aww ! poor dogs, they work so hard that they feel tired in the weekend!
We have rainy days and a much cooler weather, Lassie wanted her blanket back to sleep! (I had changed it with a fresher sheet!)
It looks like the autumn came before the summer!
Btw………..Happy Monday my Friends! !

This week's theme is Out of Focus (OOF), and the criteria requires "everything" be out of focus to my dismay. This type of photography is really not my thing... It's a little too abstract for my liking. I feel like I'm posting one of my mistakes.... Anyway, here is a photo that is suppose to look dreamy or sleepy....
My mind wants to interpret
All my dreams.
My heart wants to love
All my dreams.
My soul wants to fulfil
All my dreams.

“Just close your eyes and sleep. When you wake up, it will be a little closer to the most wonderful day of the year: Halloween!”
These Blythe dolls are Apple Jamlicious (Middie) and Chocolat Blythe (Neo), for “Just Relax” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The cute bedding was made by Angie Coppi. I found Apple’s skeleton onesie (with skull sleep mask) on eBay. I made the background from scrapbooking papers.

"Sleeping Beauty" (French: La Belle au bois dormant), or "Little Briar Rose" (German: Dornröschen), also titled in English as "The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods", is a classic fairy tale about a princess who is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy, to be awakened by a handsome prince at the end .
The good fairy, realizing that the princess would be frightened if alone when she awakens, uses her wand to put every living person and animal in the palace asleep, to awaken when the princess does. The fairy also summons a forest of trees, brambles and thorns that spring up around the castle, shielding it from the outside world and preventing anyone from disturbing the Princess.
Taken at the Osaka Tennoji Zoo in Osaka, Japan.
The zoo here is definitely a step up from what I am used to!
This beautiful mother (or father) of two chicks was catching a quick nap after her babies had worn themselves and their mother out!

You got no idea what you do to me
I hope your dreams come true

We stayed up too late, but it was worth it
To wake up seeing you

Sleeping Buddha is the view of the mountain range which includes Mount Kangchenjunga Range and the Mount Kumbakarn. The Kangchenjunga forms the body while the Mt. Kumbakarn forms the face of the buddha.
This is the best view which we have seen of the sleeping buddha during the sandakphy trek.
