Hi all! Lately I have received from OM System Italia the excellent OM-1 camera with the M.Zuiko ED 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO lens to test them.
I was very busy so I haven't had much time, but anyway I've managed to get out in the field to take some photos.
This is one of them, a tiny sleeping bee, an Anthidiellum strigatum, that I've saw by chance while coming back to my car. The picture is a FS of 17 shots taken handheld at about 2X magnification so the field of view is equal at 9mm.
To finish off my "sleepy" series - It may not always be easy to find a big cat, but if you do chances are good that you will find them sleeping! Leopards don't sleep as much as those sleepy-head lions, but since they are mostly nocturnal they do like a good nap.

I think it lost it's mom. It showed up at my door looking pretty weak and lost, then it crawled into the tall grass, curled up and took a nap. I gave him some sunflower seeds but he didn't seem to be interested. He was still around this morning...
Storm Callum was blowing a warmth across the beach that permeated the gloom. I always love to lie down and listen to the wind tearing around the cliff tops. I never sleep alone on the beach, only at home. Sleep alone is by Moby, and is so beautiful , and full of love.

She looked so comfy I almost wanted to join her. You know, except for the whole tearing me apart thing, LOL. Spotted hyenas are mostly nocturnal, sleeping most of the day and hunting at night.
This week's theme is "sleepy". I thought of it all by myself because I was so - wait for it - sleepy this morning!
