Mounted cop guarding the reflected puddle by the Lincoln Monument in Washington DC.
After he yelled at me to get out of the half dry pool, he proceeded to climb up the 3 flights of stairs to the monument. Eat that segway mounted geek! For those not living in the national capital, the DC police force has been cutting back on the mounted units in favor of Segway equipped squads. I have to say that cops on hoofs are a lot more intimidating to the averyage joe.
Here is a grassy incline with slight curvature, set in the forest. The valley presents a series of small parks on shelf-like sections. Most of the ground has a slanting trend.

Kind of them to erect this stairway into the shepherd's hut, at this time of day and year the rails cast an interesting shadow into the interior.
Was mentoring my girlfriend in photography to aid her in her Structural Photo class, and figured I would take a few pictures as well!
