Found this absolutely AWESOME Coleman lantern - Model L220 in Bonner Springs today - this was made only in 1928 and 1929. The lantern is dated September 1928, and has been well taken care of. The original "globe" would have been made of mica sheets - and the one it came with appears to be off of an original 220 style lantern with the "Arched Pyrex" lettering.
Simply cleaned up, added fuel and mantel and it is very nice - there may be some sort of an obstruction as it seems t only run about an hour or so instead of the 10-12 hours as designed.
Came with a vintage 220 generator and a box of Silk-Lite mantles, and there were five inside.
A very good lantern at a good price on a good day!

This is such an amazing island! St. John is basically full of the best snorkeling and like 75% U.S. Virgin Islands National Park. We stayed at the Maho Bay Campgrounds on the north shore, which has the best beaches and the best snorkeling, hands down. The underwater pictures are all courtesy of our new Panasonic Lumix DS4. I got pretty tanned here...
