This is a vast green area with native vegetation and animals. The blue haze comes from the oils that these eucalyptus trees emit into the atmosphere

This is a re-touch of a photo that I shot of my sister in Hawaii last summer. It is for an assignment on The Portfolio:Pro Invitation group called "If I traded it all" based on the song "One Thing" by Finger Eleven.

The first thing I thought of when I read the assignment, was my sister. I remember a while back that she loved this song, and kept trying to find it to download for her iPod and couldn't find it anywhere. But as I thought about the meaning of the assignment I knew I had to include a picture of her.

The one "thing," or in this case, person that I could never live without is Kimberly. She is not only my sister, but my best friend. Sure we had our moments ...especially in high school...when we would curse each others' names, but all that petty kid stuff falls away, and we are left with each other.

My sister is beautiful, my favorite model, talented, and probably the best sister a girl could hope for.

I now live far away from her, and I miss her so much. I keep trying to convince her to move down here near me, but I doubt that will happen. But even though distance keeps us physically apart, I know that we will always be close, and only a phone call, or even a thought away.

I know she's going to read this...and possibly even cry, so to you Kimmey, I love you. If I traded it all, if I gave it all for one thing....it would be you.

"Three Sisters View:" This cluster of tall red rock spires in Sedona bound together are commonly known as the Three Sisters. If you use some imagination, perhaps you can see them huddled together and taking in the view.

I visited the magical world with Ariella, thank you very much for such experience, it was so interesting to work together

There is someone I love so much,

who is very close to me.

Someone so caring and so sweet,

Thoughtful and kind is she.

Who is there when I need her,

through good times and through bad.

Someone to laugh and share my tears,

The best friend I've ever had.

We have spent many years together,

ups and downs only a few.

Always standing up for me,

as I stand up for you.

So thank you sissy so very much,

one thing I want you to know.

My love will follow you each day,

no matter where you go.

I am fortunate to have a sister in my life; and a true life long friend. Someone who has been with me since birth. We grew up together, brought into the world by the same parents we came to understand it together. I was lucky to grow up with a sister close to my age. Someone who would play, fight, laugh, and cry with me. Impossible to imagine a world without her. We have learnt plenty from one another and we still have a lot to teach each other.

This is the second image in my 23 self-portrait project. I find it hard to post images of myself. Over the course of the year I should be able to accomplish this project goal. I hope you can tell from this project so far it's going to get personal lol.

Spring cubs, Coastal Brown Bears (Ursus arctos). Of course, being bear cubs, they spent a lot of time knocking each other around. However, they are sisters, with a strong bond. At the end of the day, they are close. Silver Salmon Creek, Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.

Ricky : “You're really pretty, Latte..."

Latte : “Thank you."

Ricky : “Do you remember years ago when I drew eyebrows on that baby Squish that was at our house...?"

Latte : “I'm not letting you draw eyebrows on me..."

Ricky : “But I did such a great job!!"

Latte : “Nope. Not happening."

Ricky : “Awwww."

I've finally succumbed to the temptation to buy myself a crystal ball. I've not had much chance to play with it yet, but it seemed to work OK on the Seven Sisters a few nights ago.

Photos from a few years back of a day at the beach in Matunack, Rhode Island ~ September is a wonderful month.

i visited my sister's first apartment for the first time in Cincinnati. this is the view from her "driveway."

The entrance to the 3 Sisters Motel in Katoomba. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a well appointed, clean and fantastic value for money motel (that serves a complementary breakfast!). Mark was incredibly helpful with helping us plan our outings around Katoomba. Would love to go back!

Notes: Adjusted curves, white balance and added a digital GND. 4x5 crop. Painted in another shorter exposure I took for greater clarity of the neon sign.

I'm slowly getting getting back on Flickr after a hiatus. Submitted for your approval, we find a beautiful California Sister butterfly resting on a vibrant Single Stem Groundsel. This was captured along Soda Springs Road, on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada.

My sister at her home in London, with Nala.

95 per cent of the shots are of her laughing at my attempts to get Nala to do things for the picture, or point at the window to get some light on her face.
