The view from Hamilton Conservation Authority Devils Punchbowl. A single frame showing Battlefield Monument (1KM away) in the foreground, Tim Horton Stadium ( 7.5 KM away) Burlington Bay (10 KM away) and off in the distance, HWY 6 climbing the escarpment (15 KM away). What a view!
A single hosta plant just emerging from the soil - edited in Lightroom to black out the soil and ehance the lighting a bit. This hosta grows extremely fast - I took this shot in the morning and I wasn't 100% happy with the DOF - I went back at the end of the day and it had grown and opened up too much to get the same effect.
NGC 4618 was discovered on 9 April 1787 by the German-British astronomer, Wilhelm Herschel, who also discovered Uranus in 1781. Only a year before discovering NGC 4618, Herschel theorised that the “foggy” objects astronomers were seeing in the night sky were likely to be large star clusters located much further away then the individual stars he could easily discern.

Just a simple five-petal single rose.
Snapped in a hedgerow beside a footpath near Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
A single squirrel comes by most days to check for bird seeds. I believe it's a baby, or at least very young as it's actually quite small compared to others I have seen. It's a cute little beggar!
Beautiful little moth, i love the soft colouring and markings on this one. HMM ! Very frosty here, take care out there ! BRRRR !!
(As always, Im happy to corrected if I have the ID wrong ! : o )
A week ago or so, I mentioned stopping in Mina and meeting a locale character named Jeff. We had stopped to take some pics of a couple of his old trucks, when he emerged from his house and started chawing with us. While we chatted, it was hard not to notice a long, ranchy trailer-home parked in front of his house. This was no ordinary old single wide trailer. This was more like a rectangular submarine awash in the desert. When I asked him about it, he told me--quite proudly I should add--that he was helping a neighbor clear her property and the trailer happened to be one of the items she wanted cleared. He jumped on it like a rat on to a moldy piece of cheese.
I got to thinking about what Marg would do if I suddenly showed up towing a 100 foot long heavily used trailer. "Hey babe, look what I found. Ain't it great. I'll just park it in front of our house for the next 25 years or so. You won't even notice it's there." Hmmm....
Take a close gander at this work of art. You can clearly see the weld marks mid-trailer. This baby is obviously two trailers that have been welded together to create a spacious little mobile mansion. One that can only be found in Mina, Nevada. At Jeff's house. It's a beautiful thing to behold.
Give me the simple life.

CSX train M641 chugs down the former Monon at Chalmers, Indiana. Note the compact liquor store behind the second unit. I want to try modeling that in N scale.

You have people come into your life shockingly and surprisingly. You have losses that you never thought you'd experience. You have rejection and you have learn how to deal with that and how to get up the next day and go on with it.

The botanical definition of a berry is a simple fruit produced from a single ovary, such as a grape or a tomato. The berry is the most common type of fleshy fruit in which the entire ovary wall ripens into an edible pericarp. The flowers of these plants have a superior ovary formed by the fusion of two or more carpels. The seeds are embedded in the flesh of the ovary.
In everyday English, a berry is a term for any small edible fruit. These 'berries' are usually juicy, round or semi-oblong, brightly coloured, sweet or sour, and don't have a stone or pit, although many seeds may be present.
when life put u to the worst possible state, all you want then is a window of hope.six kids raised by a single mother, father doesn't even care to come and see them, the crops are taken by the wind, nothing to eat except a handful of rice. can life be any worse? may be it can. this are the elder kids from that family there are four more, who are all dependent on the mother. she weaves cloths to earn living which is very little. the father left with his second wife.my question is why should this innocent kids suffer due to someone else's doing? what are there faults.life is hard on them and may be a window of hope is what keeps them living.
