For work to be undertaken by the LXRP to remove the Maddox Road level crossing in Newport the East Line was closed completely, reducing the Werribee Line to single line working between Newport and Laverton.
On another day of Melbourne covered in bushfire smoke, Metro Trains ECOM set 633M-634M-EV120-586M-585M passes the well-advanced construction of the new bridge across Maddox Road as it approaches Newport working inspection train 7094 from Laverton back to Flinders Street. 25/1/26
I wish the power lines weren't there, but they are, so that's how it is! Just across from the closest Dollar General Store that is closest to us!
The trouble is not that I am single and likely to stay single, but that I am lonely and likely to stay lonely.

To hold back the bright sunlight I used a 5 stop filter + polarizer.
Ever single my first visit to Rīga I was in love with the city. The old wooden-faced building, the cobble-stone streets and the old trams rolling through the streets. The older trams in Rīga only have 1 single trolley-style arm for pantograph on each 1-car tram, which are combined in duos in order to cope with the amount of passengers generally using the trams. Although I’m generally not taking pictures of tram systems, the Rīga tram network and its charm for me capturing some trams in the old city. And elsewhere after that.
There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition. If there were we would be able to put all the information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible. You have to compose by the seat of your pants.

And this saying held true for this shot. I had mere minutes to compose and shoot as many shots possible as this light was changing so quickly. 10, 15 minutes maximum and the sun was up, the colours gone.

In Annapolis Royal there is the beautiful 17-acre Historic Gardens, rated as Canada's 2015 Garden of the Year! In a tranquil setting overlooking a tidal river valley, the Historic Gardens showcase gardening methods, designs and materials representing more than four hundred years of Canadian history. Highlights include the largest rose collection in Eastern Canada, a reconstructed 1671 Acadian House and much, much more.
One of the premiere collections in Atlantic Canada, the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens are a gardener’s paradise and a photographer’s delight! The rhododendron & azalea collection at the Gardens is a June highlight.
A single hosta plant just emerging from the soil - edited in Lightroom to black out the soil and ehance the lighting a bit. This hosta grows extremely fast - I took this shot in the morning and I wasn't 100% happy with the DOF - I went back at the end of the day and it had grown and opened up too much to get the same effect.
Standing at the back of the shed is this Italian Arbos LO5 single cylinder, hot bulb tractor dating from the mid fifties.

Processed with the magic wand tool in the Flickr mobile app...a little too processed for my taste (the clouds in particular have an unreal appearance), but had to suffice whilst out and about.

I saw very few springbok (antidorcas marsupialis) whilst in The Kalahari, Botswana but these three animals were kind enough to pass by in single file around dusk. This part of the desert was extremely arid but springbok can exist without drinking water almost indefinitely because their diet includes succulent vegetation.
