These sisters were singing a great but truly obscure (to me) Beatles song at the Brockport Old Fashioned Fourth Of July Festival yesterday.
It starts with the word "Everybody...." but I can't remember the rest of the title. The singers sing "Everyboy........???" and the chorus is just the same thing repeated. One of the few real Beatles sing-alongs. Anyone know what the song might be? I checked all the "Everybody songs" on a Beatles site and that one was not there.

A fantastic singer with an incomprable style. I call it Subrban Soul. Lesley had a way of singing a lyric that could at times be startlingly arresting.
One of my favorites of Lesley's songs, "Off And Running" is a brilliant example of how great a singer she is. There are a lot of quick shifts and twists troughout the arrangement and Lesley runs 'em all down like she's eating cotton candy.
I hate to say it, but I honestly would not have thought I'd be a big Lesley Gore fan until I heard this song and then "Maybe I Know." Toss in "Look Of Love," and I was hooked!

Two statues of madrigal singers on a square plinth. Both are depicted singing; one holding a book, the other a lute. It was commissioned by the Nicholas Yonge Society at the millennium to celebrate Yonge's contribution to music. He was behind the publication of 'Musica Transalpina' (1588) a collection of Italian madrigals which stimulated the singing and composing of madrigals in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Meet Josh Damigo, a musician friend of mine that I know from when I still lived in San Diego. Last night, he performed an acoustic set at Canter's in Los Angeles and I was able to make it out and see him. Josh and I are actually talking about making a music video from one of his songs, so this was a perfect opportunity to catch up and discuss a few elements.
This image was very hard to edit in post. The lighting in the room was very, very dark with just a magenta and blue light shining on him. The Sooc (straight-out-of-camera) show itself was out of sRGB safe zones, but I was finally able to tame it best I could. I guess that's what I get for trying to shoot professional images in a not-professionally-lit venue.

Elena Jane "Ellie" Goulding (born 30 December 1986) is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2010, she became the second artist to both top the BBC's annual Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards in the same year, following Adele's win of both in 2008. After signing toPolydor Records in 2009, she released her first EP in 2009, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding.
Goulding released her debut studio album, Lights, in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and has sold over 850,000 copies in the UK. Her cover of Elton John's "Your Song" reached number two in the UK in December 2010, and on 29 April 2011 she performed the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace. The album's title track, "Lights", was released in the US in March 2011, and reached its peak position of number one on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, number one on the Billboard On-Demand chart, and number two on the Billboard Hot 100 nearly a year and a half later during its thirty-third week charting, completing one of the longest ever climbs into the top two positions on the chart. The single, which lasted over a year on the Billboard Hot 100, was also certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Goulding's second album Halcyon was released in October 2012 to generally positive reviews from critics. "Anything Could Happen" preceded the album as the lead single, reaching the top five in the UK as well as the top forty in Belgium, Ireland and New Zealand. Halcyon debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and number nine on the Billboard 200 Chart, her first Top 10 debut in the United States. The album also reached the top five in New Zealand, top ten in Ireland and Canada, and top twenty in Australia.
Singer Island is located on the Atlantic coast of Palm Beach County, Florida in the South Florida metropolitan area. Most of it is in the city of Riviera Beach, but the town of Palm Beach Shores occupies its southern tip. Its latitude of is 26.784 N and its longitude is -80.037 W. The easternmost point of Florida is located there in Palm Beach Shores. Singer Island is actually a peninsula and not an island. Before the Palm Beach Inlet was created, it was connected to the island of Palm Beach to the south.[1]
Named after Palm Beach developer Paris Singer, a son of Isaac Singer, the Singer Sewing Machine magnate, Singer Island has parks, marinas, hiking and bike paths, as well as 47 miles (75.6 km) of sparkling white sand beaches[2] that has been considered one of the top five beaches in Palm Beach County.

There seemed to be quite a few of these SMs/Hunters in this paddock. I think they look quite neat, though they clearly weren't very popular in NZ.
