Simplicity 7407; ©1976; Toddlers Jiffy Dress and Bloomers. The lined "one-piece" dress with shoulder straps criss-crossed in back and buttoned to front has matching bloomers with elastic casings at waistline and at leg edges, forming self ruffles. V. 1 has embroidered eyelet edging. V. 2 has rick-rack. First issued in 1972 as Simplicity 5052 and reissued in 1980 as Simplicity 9513.
Simplicity 5885; ©1965; Misses' Set of Blouses: The back button blouses may be worn as overblouses. V. 1 has short set-in sleeves and tie collar. Collarless V. 2 has short set-in sleeves and optional top-stitching trim. Ruffle trimmed V.s 3 & 5 have below elbow length set-in sleeves. Sleeveless V. 4 has petal collar.

V. 1 has ruffle, ruffled pockets and topstitching. V. 2, longer length, has lace edging trim, and short flared sleeves gathered to armholes.
This is my best simplicity photo because the reflection of the figure on the dark wood makes it look good, and if gives off a loving and welcoming mood, which I created by increasing the warmth and adjusting the lighting, creating a line of light that surrounded the subject.

Top is view F from Simplicity 2554. I made it out of a rayon/lycra knit instead of the recommended woven and shirred the bottom for a better fit.
Modeled shots of my new favorite vintage pattern. Someone stop me from making 20 of these! It is exactly the play-dress we have been looking for!
Only in 1971 could acid green have been considered a flattering color suggestion for anyone.
I like the other two, though. I had a Swiss-girl-esque dress when I was in kindergarten--blue with an eyelet apron. It was a hand-me-down, so it was probably about the same age as this.
Simplicity 4893; ca. early 1960s; Juniors' and Misses' One-Piece Wedding Dress in Two Lengths or Bridesmaids' Dress: Dress has scalloped V neckline, set-in sleeves, lowered front waistline pointed at center and a full softly pleated skirt. Underdress has horsehair encased in hem. V. 1 has long sleeves with button closing at lower edges, back button closing, and V. 2 has has short scalloped sleeves and back zipper closing with bow trim.
