A little bit of unintentional tilt of the lensbaby here.
An unexpected trip out to Christchurch. This part of the Convent Walk along the mill stream was quiet and peaceful.

A cast feather found in the garden. It was clean and white and too good to ignore! Shot here against a dark background

I have been studying a lot about the process of making your image convey the emotion that you felt when you took it and the processes i have been practicing really do allow you to recreate if necessary the feeling of what it was like when you actually took the shot. I have posted this one because i thoroughly remember the thought going through my mind on the morning and this is what makes me connect to that feeling. I hope you like my efforts.
Photographing a colorful sunrise is usually a hit or miss situation. When my ego gets the better of me and I think I've got it figured out, Mother Nature has a habit of reminding me that color isn't everything and to just enjoy the view.
I've recently been playing with a Light Box - something new to me, and it's proving to be wonderful! It gives a gentle even light that works so well with soft pastel colours and white. And it's been a couple of years since I've had geraniums in the garden, so it is a special pleasure to be able to shoot them again.
Photographing flowers from the garden is one of my Simple Pleasures. Having tended the flowers, there is a special delight in taking their portraits ;o)
And the "free choice" shot for the 52 in 2017 group. week#29. Shot taken on July 20th 2017.

It's not easy growing flowers outdoors here in the NE of Scotland. It's wet windy and very cold for most of the year. So we treasure the flowers that do manage to survive in our garden. The gladioli that a friend planted a few summers ago have given us such pleasure. This is last year's pink and white stem. It's a shot I never used at the time, but this week's prompt had me diving into the archives - I hope it is acceptable!! ;o)

My lovely Granny! Had a hard time before Christmas after a fall and needing an operation on her hip.
She's looking so well and pictured here enjoying a little winter sunshine and watching her great grandchildren playing in the garden - one of lifes simple pleasures.
ODC SIMPLE PLEASURES
Really nothing special here--takes forever to snap a picture, and shooting indoors is a big mistake. But, I used to take that thing everywhere. And then, I got a smartphone, and I eventually stopped using this camera. Turns out that smartphones are great cameras because they are with you all the time. So, naturally, smartphone cameras have gotten better and better and are now using AI to simulate lighting and depth of field--which is super cool. Anyway, I found this the other day, and I think it's funny that I went back to using cameras.
Laughing out loud with our crazy girl Zaynah, her smile is just a simple and great pleasure! She makes my soul sing!
Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!

One of my simple pleasures is time to luxuriate in the morning with the paper and my java. When I live out in the country (last year it was 7 months) I don't have a paper and scan the headlines of the Globe and Mail on the computer but it just isn't the same.

I snapped this photo on the way to Taughannock State Park near Ithaca in Upstate, NY.
I love the beautiful scenery that is found in the Finger Lakes of Upstate, NY. Who wouldn't relish in watching and listening to the rushing water tumbling over the rocks on a melting icy waterfall. It is definitely one of my Simple Pleasures!
The beauty and contours of California's rolling hills never ceases to amaze me, and walking them is one of my favorite simple pleasures. I used to go out of my way to take photos without pylons and other man made structures that dot California's vast, open and varied landscape. Now I include them as a reminder of how important it is for us to protect our wild and open spaces.
Simple pleasures of life!
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. It is much appreciated.
This is a very enjoyable place to stop and spend some time while backpacking or day hiking in this area.
According to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", 42 is the answer to "the ultimate question of life the universe and everything" - though no one knows what the question is. To me it's all much simpler than that! It's how long we've been married - 42 years ;o)
So we are celebrating this week. And one thing we did was to indulge our passion for glass, art glass, hand-blown glass. The artist whose work draws me is Elin Isaksson. Ice, snow, dewdrops, shoots - these are some of the shapes and textures that she draws on. Elin is Swedish, and she was trained in Sweden and Scotland, and works in Scotland. "Her ideas often develops after travelling back to the north of Sweden or along the coast of Scotland taking endless photographs as muse." No wonder her glass appeals to me ;o)
More shapes and colours are in the first comment field.
This photo is of a small blue and clear glass tea light - about 9.5cm/3.5" tall. Shot with a simple single light above. Shooting glass is one of the Simple Pleasure I enjoy, whether it is art glass or a plain wine glass ;o)
