Keeping it simple. Tomatoes, grown in my garden... Simply.
Put it on a white background with sunlight through my window in the kitchen. The tomatoes are held together with a toothpick.
Simple yet elegant, these cuffs were made following a 1848 original pattern.
They were made using a fine cotton thread which makes them a pretty accessory suitable for reenactors.
They measure about 6″/15cm and are closed by a button on the wrist.
I can make them in other colors.

Cut out craft cardstock with lable eight nestie, stamped Elegant Brocade with Versamark, and embossed with white. Added ribbon, felt heart, and sentiment, and.. VOILA!

I followed Lotta's pattern, except I lined mine and added the flower pin, polka dot tie and the handles are different.

This simple bee and this purple flower have a purpose. Each comes together, to fulfill an objective. It requires both to give and take; in doing so things move things forward. We also have a purpose.

I love smoke in photos, it's probably one of my favourites effects. I need to buy smoke bombs NOW, but I don't know where. Any suggestion?
You guys, Chicago now has FOOD TRUCKS! And I'm so glad that one came down to Hyde Park. This is my sandwich from Simple Sandwich, who were on campus for a little while today. Now they've moved up to 53rd street. But anyway, I'm really glad they came to Hyde Park and I hope they sell some sandwiches here because, as Matt put it yesterday, they could've chosen to go to Lincoln Park or some place on the north side today, but they didn't. They came south, which not a lot of businesses do in Chicago. God it's nice to have a new option for lunch.
Anyway, the truck peeps were suuuuper friendly and my sandwich was delicious. This is the chicken chorizo, which has the obvious chicken and chorizo, but also roasted red peppers and arugula. It was tasty and the bread was hearty and stayed intact nicely for outdoor eating. My only complaint is just that it was a lot of bread compared to the quantity of veggies. I don't like a ton of meat on a sandwich, but I do like feeling like I'm getting at least as much vegetable matter as I am bread. But I have high hopes - overall this was really tasty.
