step the level up in 2010!
When I was a teenager I would visit a nearby park in the early evening if I was feeling upset, stressed, or otherwise just feeling bad. Sitting on the swing, looking up into the stars, I would just sit there, swinging back and forth, thinking about nothing but the quiet.
Today I needed a swing, so after dropping my daughter off at taekwondo I headed to the park and waited for the stars. It was different this time, however. Today was a cloudy, overcast day, so there were no stars to look at. Its still part-winter here, so it was cold, and relatively uncomfortable. Plus, the swing didn't fit like it used to.
I started to wonder about how it is that something so simple, back then, could become disappointing, and whether that was a 'reality' or just my thinking it wasn't as good as it used to be. Then it dawned on me; I could probably find peace and quiet anywhere that I went, if I allowed my mind to go there. So I headed back to my car, grabbed my camera and took a few shots, for posterity.
I'm feeling better already.

This is the placement I'm using. Note that the dot motifs appear to cascade asymmetrically to the waist. This placement is actually on the cross-grain with the border print at the hem.
This will sound odd that my Sister-in-law's funeral would be a simple joy. In many ways it wasn't because her vibrant life was cut way too short and she will be greatly missed. So why call this a simple joy?
See the blur of light on either side of the altar? Those are hundreds of candles lit by the lives my SIL touched. She was joy filled and poured out her joy into everyone she met including me.
Another reason why I call it a simple joy is that it reminds me that there are many ways to define family. You see, my SIL is actually the wife of my foster brother. The truth of the matter is my side of the family has been created by adoption, the foster care system, marriage and a second marriage of my grandmother who brought into my life a cousin that feels more like a sister. My family brings a lot of joy into my life.
Simple.
Strobist info- sb-28 1/32 power in 6" softbox camera right. Background lit by available window light.
The image seemed to lend itself to a more antiquated, de-saturated effect. Simple, childish pleasures of flower picking in the grounds at Beningborough Hall, Yorkshire
Lisa hosted a great program that taught the kids how to prepare a simple meal, customized to their tastes. The food was great and they didn't even make a mess!

Our Portuguese rental car needs to be re-fuelled.
Portuguese is a strange language to my ear. Having working extensively in Spain, I expected it sound the same, it doesn't.
When the Portuguese speak English it is with a Russian sounding twang - a bit like that Car Insurance comparison Meerkat from the adverts... so when we saw that the non-premium Diesel was called 'Simples' it made us chuckle.
"You want pay Pump 4? €40... simples!"
(No offence to Portuguese speaking people by the way, we found you all rather nice on our visit).
yes, I have a simple life! All over just not outstanding but I'm glad's that I'm live in it. Enjoy evevery moment and take it easy

Cabinet doors and sides have confirming double lancet arches appliqued all around with bead and reel moldings, and at the spandrels are leafy rose flowers in deep relief and are exceptionally palpable. Similar bolection moldings below the doors frame the large keyholed drawer with iron bail pull, above a secret drawer disguised as a simple faschia, and the block feet supports. Inside are ample shelvings and a pair of smaller drawers. The crown, main carcase, and the bottom drawers can be detached for portability.
