Simple Song - The Shins
www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoLTPcD1S4Q
Well, this is just a simple song
To say what you done
I told you about all those fears
And away they did run
You sure must be strong
And you feel like an ocean being warmed by the sun
When I was just nine years old
I swear that I dreamt
Your face on a football field
And a kiss that I kept under my vest
Apart from everything
With the heart in my chest
I know that things can really get rough
When you go it alone
Don't go thinking you gotta be tough
To bleed like a stone
Could be there's nothing else in our lives so critical
As this little hole

old church on our route....
Abtshagen, Germany
Abtshagen, is small village in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern province in north-east Germany located halfway between Grimmen and Stralsund. Cut in half by road number 194 leading to the north, village is hiding within its precinct a small gem, namely, Gothic Parochial Church dedicated to Holy Spirit (Heilgeistkirche = Holy Spirit's Church). Surrounded by small cemetery, and well visible from the road that is just passing by, red-brick church was completed in 1380. Massive, brick tower, that was planned to built; which is indicated by remnants of the wall; has never been finished. Instead of it, wooden bell tower was added to the structure of the church in 1667. However, original tower has not survived as it's been destroyed by arson in 1999 and then, rebuilt in year 2000. Church's simple, neo-gothic, interior is well preserved
Many thanks to everyone who will pass by visiting my shots. Comments are appreciated. You are welcome. Sergio

Detail shot of The Lowry, a theatre and gallery complex at Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, England. This structure was named after the British painter L. S. Lowry, known for his paintings of industrial scenes in North West England.
Building was constructed in 1999 and opened in 2000.
The architects were Michael Wilford and Sir James Stirling.
A window box on a new building somewhere near Lisbon. I took this photo whilst in Portugal at the end of 2016. A return visit to that city of great architecture is considerably overdue.
Hello to all, I've missed you. Still no internet at home; we are getting unpacked and re-acclimated slowly. Hopefully the telephone company will have our lines good to go with in the next week and we will be in the age of technology at our new address! :-) For now, I'm bumming my brother's wireless to stop in and say hello and send belated Thanksgiving wishes to you all! See you soon I hope!!!
This afternoon I went to Yushima Tenjin, very well visited at this time of the year for its ume trees but only a few were blossoming.... this is just one of them...

The remains of Alberton Court, Manchester. It was in the news recently when demolition was halted due to collapsed scaffolding.
Alberton House was built around 1973. The architects were Leach, Rhodes, Walker.
2025 has seen the demolition of several mid-century buildings. I have photographed three of them, Robin Hood Gardens in Poplar, East London, the Yorkshire Bank Building in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and this one.
