Hitcham is a civic parish and village in Suffolk, situated 12 km north from Hadleigh and 12 km south-west from Stowmarket . Its population is about 600.

The village sign stands at the entrance to the driveway to All Saints' church. It was erected in 1977 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The design depicts the village's agricultural past, featuring four horseshoes, a scythe and a wheatsheaf.

Dating back to 1923 the Hollywood sign was originally a real estate stunt, but is now an iconic symbol of the Los Angeles movie industry. Ryan used just over 8,500 bricks to recreate the giant letters, including some colourful graffti on the back of them!
