Love how this turned out, especially as I don't really experiment with black and white photography. Also using this photo as my black and white submission for my photography exam.

I waited for this Signet to leave its Mother for a little while so I could isolate it.
Found a spot with plenty of Autumn colour and hoped it moved into it.
Made from 1951-58. This is the civilian version. Military versions were olive green for army and black for air force. It was designed for combat photographers in the Korean war. Very interesting history to this camera! I cleaned it...loaded film...let's see what happens!

Apparently it is the male bird who mainly looks after the young. The whole time I was there, he was always with the young. The female was near but she was not so vigilant.
