In celebration of Ryan Somma's birthday, we went for a 10.6 mile hike to Signal Knob... in Tropical Storm Hannah. :)
The tent got SO wet, when I put it in the car and it heated up, all the water evaporated and then condensed on my windshield. All that moisture was inside the car. There was so much of it, my radio was shorted out for half a day.

The signal flags below the searchlight (which also acted as a flashing light to send Morse messages by line of sight) from top to bottom stand for CZFG (or Charlie-Zulu-Foxtrot-Golf), the ship's International Call Sign. Her voice International call sign was Shaft (with all due respect to Samuel L. Jackson).
The railroad signal in the rain. Just testing my new Camera.
I picked up this Kodak Retina IIa for $18 at an antique store in Michigan City IN, and walked out to the car and loaded it up. I could tell the shutter was a little slow, so needless to say, all my shots were over exposed. This was just a short test roll to see if it worked at all.
The view finder is so dirty I had a hard time seeing the rangefinder. I will give it a good CLA, and I hope to make this a fun, pocket size, 'go to' 35mm.
Shot on Ilford FP4 developed in Ilfosol3 for 4.5 minutes. If I'd known how over exposed these were, I'd have pulled it in quite a bit, like ASA 60
A cushy circle scarf in an interesting dropped stitch pattern. Looks great on both sides.
Shown in Malabrigo Twist.
A creek near Signal Mountain. Chattanooga, Tennessee is located in the eastern part of the state on the Cumberland Plateau. The city is surrounded by gorges, mountains and beautiful countryside. It has been experiencing a revitalization lately.

The final battle of the Seven Years' War in North America was fought in 1762 at the Battle of Signal Hill, in which the French surrendered St. John's to the British under the command of Lt. Colonel William Amherst. Lt. Colonel Amherst renamed what was then known as "The Lookout" as "Signal Hill," because of the signalling that took place upon its summit from its flagmast. Flag communication between land and sea would take place there from the 17th century until 1960.

Preserved Signals at the original Wodonga Station.
Liqourland in the distance has been built across the former railway right of way.
Wodonga Station was closed in 2008 as part of the Wodonga Rail Bypass Project and a new station opened in 2011 on the new alignment.
The original station pictured here was opened in 1873 and along with the Goods Shed has been turned into Community Space.
